Nobody complained when men dressed up like Spartans from the movie 300.
Nobody complains when someone wears a kilt.
Nobody complains about a toga.

These parents projecting their baggage on their children.
But wait, if a 5 year old can choose a gender, why not a costume?

My blond, blue eyed granddaughter is actually dressing up as Moana for Halloween. Her Mother bought the costume before this controversy erupted.

The answer to these lunatics needs to start being "yes, and go screw yourself".

"If you're caricaturing Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, that's fine, those are public figures. Those masks are always fair game. Well, sure, because Trump and Hillary are white. "Is it okay" to make fun of, say, public figures Barack Obama or MLK Jr. in a costume?
Didn't think so.

In an odd twist of fate, that is the day I have my C 3, 5 and 6 decompression/fusion surgery scheduled for. Got some sugar skulls to put on the neck brace. Oh, and a US flag, a NAVY sticker and maybe a guitar or two. LOL! Oh crap. Looks like I’m on the dead kids day and not the the dead adults day. Better get out the voodoo doll and do some incantations.

My idea for a gut punch costume is a white T shirt, jeans, guitar, a pompadour wig, and a swastika armband. When people ask who it’s supposed to be tell them “John Cougar Deathcamp.”

Kids should dress as an NFL player and when the door opens kneel before saying “Trick or treat!” That’s scary.
Of course the scariest costume this year will be a Harvey Weinstein mask

Picture reminds me of a kid my son knew. In his high school years, the young man dressed up in a Klan outfit.. hood and all. Went trick or treating and when a white family started to yell at him.. she took off his hood (revealing an African American face). His “fun” was watching how quickly silence ensued. It was all “fun and games” till the police showed up... a black officer said, “Okay... I think it’s funny but stop scaring the white folks”.

That’s funny because no one ever wore those helmets. It was something that came about from Wagnerian opera.
