It will be travelling at a distance of 191,000km away from civilzation. Yeah, but how close will it get to Mecca?

There’s a previous article about finding a cave on the moon.
My guess is that the cave is a garage for these asteroid buses.

That was one of least accurate and most sensationalistic science articles I've ever had the misfortune to read.
I especially liked the last few paragraphs (below the pic of an object ~100,000 times larger than this asteroid hitting the Earth):
But in one of its next passes with Earth, experts suggest that 2012 TC4 may not miss. [It will, almost certainly. Even if it hit, it would be a non-event for 99.9999% of the Earth's surface.] The near-misses coincide with end of the world fears. [Only the completely uninformed share these fears.]
Doomsayers believe a huge alien world called Nibiru or Planet X is hurtling through space towards us and will hit tomorrow. ["Doomsayers" apparently believe a lot of nonsense.]
The planet will cause devastation on Earth with a direct hit or catastrophic near miss, believers warn. [The "believers" are delusional.]

It’s going to pass 191,000 kilometers from earth?
Let’s see....if I remember my conversion formula right, that puts this about.....er.....something like 16 miles away from Pisscataway.

Here's a phrase that apparently the airlines simply made up: near miss. They say that if 2 planes almost collide, it's a near miss. Bullsh__, my friend. It's a near hit! A collision is a near miss.
[WHAM! CRUNCH!]
"Look, they nearly missed!"
"Yes, but not quite.
