Singer Jessica Sanchez, a former runner-up on the 11th season of "American Idol," took a knee after she finished singing the national anthem at an Oakland Raiders game on Sunday, the Associated Press reported.

"I'm 100 percent for the message, as far as what the message has been behind everybody kneeling," Sanchez said, according to the AP.
"I still show my respect to the veterans, but I do disagree with what's going on in the office," she continued, referring to President Trump's recent rhetoric on the issue.
Trump ignited a firestorm over the issue last month, when he said at a campaign rally that the NFL should fire players who kneel during the anthem.
Many in the NFL community responded to the president's comments by subsequently kneeling or locking arms during the anthem at various games, though the number of protests has since dwindled.
NFL players, most notably free agent Colin Kaepaernick, have kneeled during the anthem in order to protest social and racial injustice in the U.S.
Sanchez is not the first national anthem singer to kneel at a game.
Singer Rico Lavelle took a knee after singing the national anthem last month at Detroit Lions game, while singer Megan Lindsey her guitar player got down on one knee after performing the national anthem at a Seattle Seahawks game.
Does she diss the Mexican Flag?

It would even be pointless to be pragmatic and have one of their BS "discussions". In the end, I don't think they even know what the knee idiocy is for nor would there ever be a consensus.
It's basically a way to pretend that a lack of self-restraint, discipline and education is not the reason one is mired in a bad situation. Blame whitey, and especially ones who point that out.
The message is that black athletes get paid millions of dollars even though they are subject to “systemic oppression” of whities.
Hmmm. Maybe if I can get myself subject to “system oppression” I can get lots of money from stupid white folks.

I am so far beyond pissed about this garbage. It is time for it to stop. There is no respect for anything anymore.
I guess the bottom line is,’ How far do the NFL owners want to shrink the white patriotic demographic of their market?’
Maybe they figure there is a bottom threshold they can live with, maybe go even a little lower and make it up with foreign fans?
They also probably figure that the white working class patriotic demographic can’t live without football. So if they just kowtow to the radical players long enough. Both sides will get tired of it. Then back to the to same old same old.

She’s actually Asian (half-Filipina I believe), but even then, that was a such bad mistake. When will people realize that a sporting event is NOT the place for any political statement? A shame.
