LVMPD and FBI show “hand-in-hand” solidarity in active shooter investigation, bar independent journalist from attending
(INTELLIHUB) — Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department appeared to be visibly shaken when told reporters Friday that he wasn’t attempting to be “subversive” in previous statements he made surrounding details of the October 1 massacre at the Route 91 Music Festival where 58 people lost their lives.
In the ‘no questions’ conference, which members of the independent media were not allowed to attend, the sheriff said that he’s “well aware” of the timeline dispute released by MGM Management on Thursday which claims that Stephen Paddock fired his weapon into the crowd just seconds after Mandalay Bay security guard Jesus Campos was struck by a bullet in the 32nd-floor hallway outside the shooter’s end suite.

Except for the fact that there was no “Magic Bullet”, you could be right.
Unless and until we know if there was anyone else involved, we don’t know for sure if he killed himself or someone else did.
Are you saying there is a spent casing on top of the revolver? I assume you are looking at the spot between the lower portion of the cylinder and the trigger guard? Is that not the lower frame of the gun? Just for the record, I don’t believe this guy shot himself with any of the three guns (2ARs, 1revolver) that are in close proximity to his body. I’m not saying one of those guns didn’t kill him, but he wasn’t the one pulling the trigger.
Was he standing when he shot himself? Was he sitting on his ass? Was he laying back, flat on his back? After you answer that, lets discuss the position his body is in, as well as the gun(s), in relation to how he shot himself.
Looks like he was lying down which is the best scenario.
That way the Hotel only has to replace a square yard of Carpeting, get Stanley Steamer in there to clean the rest of it and put in a couple of Windows before they can rent out the Room.
This could turn into a Script idea for Mission Impossible V.
Harvey Weinstein might even be interested in the project when he gets out of Rehab.
On a serious note, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what the Investigation comes up so we can speculate how big the Conspiracy really is. #;^)
Looking at the pictures I’ve seen, one lower body, with the 2 ARs, with his foot between the legs of the bipod (weird), and the second picture of upper body and head, with the revolver being up above his head, and his arms being straight along his body (weird) I don’t think he shot himself. What position was he in when he shot himself? Standing, ass on floor, laying all the way down? Pick one, and then look at the position of his body as well as the gun(s). The “ clean” shell casings in the blood, they weren’t kicked there.
If he was shooting down into a crowd 320 feet below and 1300 feet down range, I guaranty he he was full up in the window.
And, most the obvious place to mobilize is more like 600 feet down range at Hacienda and E Reno.
And, if a person in the hotel room below is standing in the window when incoming rounds start hitting the hotel, then too bad for him.
If he was lying down,( and I do believe this is the position he was killed in) how does the revolver end up above his head, when his arms are straight down, in line with his body? Or did he use one of the ARs at his feet, not seeing it.
It’s pretty clear that most of the facts that they know about, we don’t.
I just hope they have good reasons for not making these facts public.
PS - noteworthy in the Clark County Sheriff’s press conference yesterday was him calling Paddock “the suspect”, one time he started to say “Paddock” and corrected himself and said “the suspect”.
To me that is very telling.

In my mind, I am unable to see how he killed himself, based on his body position as well as the gun(s) position(s). I just don’t see it, and am open to hearing others opinions on this specific matter.

You’re just a keyboard warrior that doesn’t even know the angle of declination necessary to hit a target 320 feet below and 1300 feet away horizontally. Or, obviously, the angle of inclination you would need to hold to hit the shooter at a horizontal distance of 600 ft from the hotel. If Paddock had enough sense to stand back from the window to minimize his risk from return fire you wouldn’t even be able to see him. But soldier on doofus.

Many don’t care for him because they think the LVMPD is too heavy handed and only serves the big casinos. This developing fiasco is only working into the meme that he is covering the MB’s butt over something(rumors abound). I heard some things today at hunting camp from some municipal employees from Clark County that if true then this is going to blow wide open next week. I am currently trying to verify the info.

It could be, but IIRC the revolvers I used had the cylinder-hinge as part of the frame proper (ie inset).
That looks like some silver-in-color casings (steel or aluminum, I think) I've seen a few times for .410 slug/sabot rounds.
