The Astros lead the Yankees 2-0 in the top of the eighth inning.
Due to a couple realignments as teams were added, Milwaukee Brewers moved to NL.Central divisions were added...I think when Marlins debuted in NL East, Pirates moved from East to Central.
Somehow Astros wound up jumping to AL, so both Texas teams are in same league.
“Has this ever happened before in pro sports???”
In 2014, for the NHL it was close. Rangers defeated Montreal to get into the finals and the Kings defeated Chicago.
Stros up 2 zip now. On to NYC for the middle games.
Game 2 what an ending. ...Altuve is a machine...if he doesn’t win MVP i will be missed...Verlander was awesome...best game of his career...like 75% of his 120 pitches were strikes.
JV pitched a complete game. Not sure I believe it, but the dude on TV said since Houston got him, JV has pitched 8 games and has gotten 8 wins. Hall-of-Famer for sure.
I didn’t realize that. Fascinating.
Yes, the new owner Jim Crane had to agree to the switch to finalize the sale of the team from Drayton McLane. You can thank Bud Selig for that. He screwed the Astros on several occasions.
Thheeee Yankees lose!
