Pretty sure something in the math field.

At least he's not in some useless 'grievance studies' program. But as you suggest, there's a whole lot more to being an adult than career. The guy seems to have sacrificed almost everything else in life to study maths at Harvard. It seems a poor trade, to me ...

Schoolbook education comes in third. Their second problem is a lack of basic common sense. The MEEEEEE! crowd’s first problem is their lack of common decency and respect.

maybe some of this finger-pointing needs to be towards the people who raised them.

Wait a minute, it's not all the parents fault. They were asking historic questions, such as "Who won the civil war"?

Do these people not spend 12 freaking years in public schools? What in tarnation are they teaching the kids for 12 freaking years on our tax dollars?

But who’s at fault for that?

A) Government school unions
B) Their parents
C) Both A and B

So the moral of this story it seems, if you’re looking for a lot of really stupid people, head to the coast.

Works for Democrats.

If a kid doesn't know who won the Civil War, it's not the teacher's fault.

If the parents want to know what their kids are learning in school, they should get involved. My kids' public schools practically has to beg parents to participate in what are endless opportunities for parental involvement.

Ok you win, when people can’t answer simple basic math and history questions, it’s the parent fault! Not the public schools.

Brilliant!

In fact, I think they should give public school teachers in CA yet another raise for doing such a wonderful job!

“greatest generation”

Which came home and sat on their collective butts to raise the generation of hippies. They defeated Hitler an Tojo, but they refused to raise their children. Now their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are out of control.

They are the product of our educational system. And for many years that system has been under the control of government and liberal colleges and universities who are trying to destroy our nation. The result, a bunch of snowflakes.

Lets step up the ladder to the next level of education. How about the communistic and extreme lefts in college academia brainwashing and bleaching the brains of the students? Is that the parents fault too?

If their parents haven't instilled in them critical thinking skills, then absolutely!

I actually became more conservative in college.

He excelled at one thing in his life - getting into Harvard.

Which will lead him into a job as a Swamp bureaucrat with far-ranging power to run YOUR life.

Sure you did, it’s because academia is so conservative! Makes perfect sense.

Do you think college students are incapable of thinking for themselves or of being unable to differentiate between when they're being taught and when they're being indoctrinated?

I had no trouble in being able to recognize truth from liberal revisionism, even at that age.

Oh sure, by the time the kiddies get out of college/university, most are all independent thinking conservatives! They should be increasing our taxes to support these institutions like they do every year in CA.

I guess you knew different GG people than I did. I was raised by two, as were all my friends, and our parents dedicated their lives to working to give us a chance at a life that they, because of depression and war, never had. I don’t know where this crap about GG parents being lazy and uninvolved comes from. My mom and aunt were room mothers, and Cub Scout leaders. My dad, uncle and friends fathers were coaches, Scout leaders, and ran summer camps. Our parents taught us life was hard and you had to work for what you wanted and that nobody owed you anything. We went to church on Sundays and were raised with a solid moral compass of right and wrong. My generation didn’t do as well sadly because feminism taught young boomer college girls it was all about the career and they bought it. Leaving their kids to be educated by the Left while mom and dad both worked.

This is nothing compared to the generation of Democrats who started a war that cost hundreds of thousands of American lives, because they didn’t want to give up their slave labor.
