WASHINGTON President Trump escalated his attack on Senator Bob Corker on Tuesday by ridiculing him for his height, even as advisers worried that the president was further fracturing his relationship with congressional Republicans just a week before a vote critical to his tax cutting plan.
Mr. Trump gave Mr. Corker, a two-term Republican from Tennessee and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, a derogatory new nickname Liddle Bob after the two exchanged barbs in recent days. He suggested Mr. Corker was somehow tricked when he told a reporter from The New York Times that the president was reckless and could stumble into a nuclear war.
In labeling Mr. Corker liddle, the president was evidently returning to a theme. He considered Mr. Corker for secretary of state during the transition after last years election but was reported to have told associates that Mr. Corker, at 5-foot-7, was too short to be the nations top diplomat. Instead, Mr. Trump picked Rex W. Tillerson, who is several inches taller but whose own relationship with the president has deteriorated to the point that he was said to have called Mr. Trump a moron.
Mr. Tillerson initially did not deny it, but later had a spokeswoman insist he did not say it. The president, in a new interview with Forbes magazine, said he considered it fake news but added that if it were true, he would beat Mr. Tillerson in an I.Q. contest.

Go Trump go!
MAGA
He needed to change the rules of the game.
They were all in favor of The Swamp. Pulling the carpet out from under them levels the playing field and allows a quick thinker like Trump to win what was a rigged game.
Its really that simple. Anyone who played by the rules would have lost every battle, including the well-intended Cruz.
One thing I have noticed over the years is that most of the posters who try and associate themselves with President Ronald Reagan’s through their name name don’t act or think anything like Ronald Reagan would have.
Corker fave us the Iran deal....until he served time for that criminal act I got no sympathy. Plus Corker knew that McShamey and Collins and at least one other would vote against repeal so he could claim he kept his promise
In your world do “adults” make nice with scumbags trying to screw them?
Hillary stumbled on the way, to her bid for glory!
“trying to prevent Rep. Marsha Blackburn from running for Corkers seat”:
Marsha is truly awesome, and i’ll be donating to her campaign.
But of course
Just another chance to have a weak GOP flunky lose to a far left dim
Have you not learned over the years????
“”welp, you cant get anything done by alienating most everyone, but then again, most of the people Trump goes after arent cooperative anyway. May as well make an example out of them””
The media didn’t make much of Obama telling Repubs to get in the back and let Dems drive. Or telling Ceos he was all there was between them and pitchforks.
The statement above is pretty much right. The problem for most of us is we put up with way more than we should. I am begininng to see Trump as a Dad for the country. The older Dad who says get out of the way son, I will show you how to take care of this problem. We tried it your way, now pay attention and learn.
Reminds me of a Toyota commercial.
[Corker is, tragically, my senator. I say, bring it on, Mr President, bring it on.]
I wonder what names MRS. CORKER called unfaithful BOB.
>> Trump does not act like an adult. I hope someone else will be the Republican nominee in 2020. I know that some Trump supporters think he’s a “fighter” because of stuff like this, but they would laugh at a Democratic president who did this.<<
If you and those who think like you fail to grasp what an enormous benefit to our country it is to have a courageous leader like President Trump, I hold you in utter disdain. Whining and bitching about such trivia as you do makes you appear small in light of current issues of national importance.
What Trump is doing is not for “us” we are not the audience for these “twitter shenanigans” it’s the MSM & the GOPe. He is goading them into overreacting, which they always do!
[How sad that you make statements like this without even knowing the facts.]
I correct myself on the years spent in the SENATE. Other than that, I stand on my comment. A person is known by his doings.
He kinda does since they’re the Senate and all.
Unless Trump has decided that nothing major is getting passed in the next three years and that it’s just scorched earth all over the place.
“A retiring senator attempted a complete sabotage of a sitting president from his own party, and the party leaders came out in support of the saboteur. Let that sink in.”
You have nailed it.
Hillary's campaign fell flat with her husband Bill who stood by erect yet crooked.
