Regarding the Las Vegas shooting, I would like to point out that in none of the videos which capture glimpses of the 32nd floor at Mandalay Bay during the shooting do I see ANY muzzle flashes whatsoever.
I am by far no firearms expect. Not by a long shot (no pun intended). But I DO know that high-powered rifles including AR-15's, etc., would create a highly-noticeable muzzle flash or burst of 'flame' at night measuring at least a foot in diameter, at least.
A shooter with his weapon poised towards the outside of the window should be easily seen when discharging his weapon with automatic fire (using bump stocks) at night. Even with a flash suppressor of some sort, shouldn't we STILL be able to see gun flare or flashes of light during firing?
In this CNN video, I see no evidence of anyone firing a weapon from Mandalay: New video of concertgoers running for their lives Disturbing Video just released
I have reviewed multiple videos from that night, and I have come to the conclusion that the shooter or shooters weren't based on the 32nd floor. I believe that some of Mandalay Bay's lower floor windows can be opened and I would also consider the snipers being located in another location other than Mandalay Bay. Paddock being on the 32nd floor could be a diversion. He could've been murdered even before the shooting began and the ENTIRE SCENE STAGED to divert from the real source of the carnage we'll never know.
Also, witness Brianna Hendricks stated that a Hispanic woman in the crowd yelled "you're all gonna die tonight" 45 minutes BEFORE the shooting started. Why haven't we heard anything more about this? The media is ignoring this critical clue which points to possible advanced knowledge of this massacre.
Experts please weigh in. This is the thread to do it. If I'm dead wrong or way off the mark, my apologies. I want the TRUTH about this whole thing BECAUSE I THINK WE'RE BEING LIED TO, BIG LEAGUE.<.B>
The people in the hotel who heard the gunfire were all part of the plot, along with the security guard who was shot?
AR15s come with an effective flash hider. It should come as no surprise you can’t see any muzzle flash.
Now, on the other hand, if he had used a mosin nagant m38.....
I read he was firing from inside the room to a aid the flash locating his location.
The cops who were in the hotel with the guard before the shooting started were working an unrelated issue in the hotel ran out to go across the street as the first call came in of shots fired at the concert. When they got outside, the valets got their attention and pointed up to the windows and also the glass right there in the valet area. It was reported by Randy Sutton that they saw the flashes from below. That was the same three that were first to the 32nd floor.
In some ways it makes sense because the flash suppressor would direct some of the flash perpendicular to the barrel.
Oy
Distance angle atmospherics all come into play
This is a nothing burger
Have you seen the outside of that hotel at night? It’s massively and brightly lit up. I doubt you’d see much of a muzzle flash from 1/4 mile away with all that light.
Flash Suppressor. Seriously, when you look at the photo of the dead perp, surrounded by brass on the floor, you don’t think he fired that weapon?
Did the front desk get any calls about someone smashing the huge windows before the shooting? If people inside the hotel heard the shooting, they SURE AS HELL HEARD THE WINDOWS BEING SMASHED BEFORE THE SHOOTING.
Obviously there must be an enormous amount of evidence from the crime scene regarding the direction and angle of fire. So your idea, like all conspiracy theories, would require a very large group of investigators to all coordinate their stories and keep permanently quiet about what they really found.
I believe that some of Mandalay Bay's lower floor windows can be opened
I have no evidence for this, but that's what I believe.
FOX reports shooter was firing from deeper inside the room to counter visible flashes of fire. He added this had to cause teeth to shatter in nearby rooms.
The shooter was nothing short of studied on how to maximize firing time and minimize detection time.
Well, not necessarily. 1) A good muzzle break will redirect flash with gases and depending on what type, there may not be much visible from down range. I can guarantee you that the same rifle with different breaks can create completely different 'flash' 2) Flash is also dependent on the lighting. While no flash may be observed during the day, your 1 foot diameter flash may be observed in total darkness. It was night time, but the strip is hardly ever in total darkness. 3) Flash was observed according to some reports by people just outside the hotel.
I haven’t been able to find it since, but during the night of the shooting Fox News showed footage in which the muzzle flash was very visible. They even had a circle drawn around it. Several other posters on here saw the same video.
The footage exists.
flash hider + cheap cell phone camera = no see flash even if it exists.
I’ve been a couple hundred yards from the scene at night. It’s quite well lit.
Cell phone cameras are not particularly high quality under such conditions. Capturing an extremely brief light, at considerable distance, with considerable ambient lighting, can be tricky. No guarantee it’s going to work under lousy conditions with lousy equipment.
Others note some cameras _did_ capture the muzzle flash. Make sure you’ve properly surveyed what’s available before declaring it doesn’t exist. “I haven’t seen it” with just casual overview doesn’t suffice.
You _want_ to be lied to.
I’m looking at all the data you are, and it adds up sensibly to me. Yeah, we don’t know “why?” but he was seriously crazy so that might be hard to glean.
Picking ammo with a low flash signature helps, also.
“Any firearms experts here on Free Republic?”
I think what we need is an expert in photography. I doubt most cell phone cameras default settings would pick up the muzzle flash that far away.
Also, any search, unfortunately, for the video on Youtube STILL brings up copious videos, some just posted, still touting the very debunked strobe light issue.
I’m afraid it’s going to become canon that it was a 2nd shooter when it has been proven to be a strobe light again and again.
