Actually this is a growing trend among single/divorced women. I just read about this a few weeks ago and there are several companies out there that do actual packages.

One’s first inclination is to consider these women narcissists. And I don’t think that would be wrong in many, many respects.

I actually consider it very sad that on a the planet there are billions of people and one cannot find a mate, husband, etc. It seems quite ridiculous on its face with so many fish in the sea. So, the question becomes...is it the women or is it the cultural influence and the deterioration of the family to blame.

It is sad, very sad that the constructs of marriage have been degraded culturally to this point of ‘getting married’ to oneself.

Yeah, it’s a bit over the top, but it’s just symbolic. She’s committing to her own happiness ‘cause at the end of the day only you can do it for yourself. It’s hard, but it comes from within. I can see why it would be thought as narcissism, and with some, maybe it is about that. But it could be a positive thing. As Dennis Prager says, the happy make the world better. Anyway, I’ll save my outrage for the likes of the Harvey Weinsteins of the world.
