The alarming Giants season may be going full disaster.
Odell Beckham Jr. was carted off the field in the closing minutes of Sunday’s home game against the Chargers, the team’s fourth (and best) wide receiver to be hurt on the day.
Beckham went down on a pass that fell incomplete with about 4 minutes left in the game, the Giants up 22-20 at the time. He rose for the catch then came down awkwardly, his leg appearing to get caught under cornerback Casey Howard.
Beckham was carted off, tears flowing as the Giants’ 0-4 season could be over already....

Saw the injury. Looked very painful. I feel sorry for him actually.
I wonder what the per-capita rate of injury for NFL players is compared with active duty U.S. military service personnel.
Warning - NOT that I am of a mind or think the NFL is more injury prone; just that I am curious about the statistics.

Apparently when Bednarik laid the wood on Gifford that play essentially clinched the victory for the Eagles and that was why he was celebrating. Bednarik said he wasn’t taunting Gifford and I believe him. Gifford believed him to. I remember an interview where Bednarik goes off on current nfl players that act like they won the super bowl when they sack the quarterback with their teams losing badly. Also, notice in the picture he is wearing his wedding ring. Classy all of his life.
I know how he feels, I wouldn't cry when I had really bad pain once, but the tears flowed without my control. I muttered something like "I think we have a probl..." and heard somebody saying "so many grains of (something)" and I was back to sleep!
