Initial reports Tom Petty had died at age 66 were inaccurate.
The LAPD tweeted to clarify earlier reports:

She is, absolutely. I notice nobody mentions the fact that while her father is in the hospital dying, she’s taking selfies of herself and posting them on instagram.
As I recall, TMZ broke the Petty story and it was picked up on several sites.
FR posted the TMZ story about a dozen times, with no verification.
This crap happens every time we’re to raise $ for FR.
That's why I don't watch TV news anymore.
You can't tell who's telling the truth or who has an agenda to push or who's spinning the real story or who's making up fake news.
I don't believe any of it anymore.

I followed Tom’s music but not his family life. His daughter is the spitting image of him. Sadly she’s butt ugly.
He won’t back down.
