This reminds me of when I went to see Yes. They were playing “It Could Happen To You” on their 90125 tour. Jon Anderson wasn’t watching where he was walking and fell down the stairs that were in the center of the stage that led to the backstage area. He reappeared about 3 minutes later, obviously shaken but he waved and was ok.
Saw the incident...the prop wasn’t that heavy and it just tipped over on him, it didn’t fall from any appreciable height. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s drugged out and needs time off, and this was a convenient exit.
Did it improve his looks?
I don’t know anything about Marilyn Manson but the one time I saw him on Celebrity Ghost Stories. He seemed actually pretty nice.
I also hope he is recuperating nicely.
Sometimes when ones have something like this that brings them into sharp focus with their own mortality it makes them think a bit differently. Hoping for his best thoughts.
I saw a video of the incident — two big pistols were on a large tubular-metal-constructed lattice shaped like a three dimensional cross, with one pistol on each arm of the cross, and as he faced them (with his back to the audience) the whole thing came crashing forward, down on top of him.
No wonder the press didn’t describe it in detail, just “massive prop”.
