Looks like a scene out of Spinal Tap.

Marilyn Manson is not good enough to smell the glove of Spinal Tap!

Maybe Alice Cooper can talk some sense into him.

Every once in a while you hear about a performer from long ago hurt in concert, or suffering from an illness, or announcing retirement, and the first thing that comes to mind is "Oh yeah, I remember him. Is he still performing?"

Hope he's OK, though.

I vaguely remember the name, but forgot who on earth he was.

I’d like to think it’s God toying with him.

This reminds me of when I went to see Yes. They were playing “It Could Happen To You” on their 90125 tour. Jon Anderson wasn’t watching where he was walking and fell down the stairs that were in the center of the stage that led to the backstage area. He reappeared about 3 minutes later, obviously shaken but he waved and was ok.

Saw the incident...the prop wasn’t that heavy and it just tipped over on him, it didn’t fall from any appreciable height. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s drugged out and needs time off, and this was a convenient exit.

I think I’ve seen that on youtube. Seems like he was very lucky not to have been seriously hurt.

He has been described as "the highest profile Satanist ever" with strong anti-Christian views and social Darwinist leanings.

Jon Anderson, now that was a talented (progressive) rock singer!!
I love his solo debut album.
‘Olias of Sunhillow’ from ‘76.”Ocean Song” and my favorite’Meeting, Garden of Geda.”

If you like Gregorian Chants with synthesizer accompaniment, you will like Garden of Geda. The intro and fadeout are the best parts of that cut.

Very good band to see live despite the many changes in personnel. And dare I say I like “Changes” with Trevor Rabin vocals.

Time was he was playing at civic owned venues and ripping out bible pages onstage. Apparently antiChristian speech in a civic venue is neither a violation of the establishment claus or hate speech...

I don’t know anything about Marilyn Manson but the one time I saw him on Celebrity Ghost Stories. He seemed actually pretty nice.

I also hope he is recuperating nicely.

Sometimes when ones have something like this that brings them into sharp focus with their own mortality it makes them think a bit differently. Hoping for his best thoughts.

I like the stuff Jon Anderson did with Vangelis, especially “The Friends of Mr. Cairo.”

I think it’s like Alice Cooper, mostly it’s an act, although I think Vince is a much nicer person IRL.
