While several Nasa missions have involved mixed crews, a secret report by the space agency suggests that missions to Mars could be all-female.
Speaking at a conference today, British astronaut, Helen Sharman, claimed that Nasa has filed a report that warns that male and female astronauts could get frisky during the one and a half year journey to the red planet.
The report claims that all-female crews would be the best option, as women work better as a team, and are less likely than men to fight over who is the leader.
Ms Sharman has never seen the report herself, but suggests that it was filed 'some years ago.'

I like the mature couple idea. They are likely to be stable, and will already probably be experienced astronauts. No guarantees that they will end up as a sweet old couple, but the odds are better than with any other combo. God knows what he is doing and he designed marriage.

The intent is not to avoid sex but to avoid procreation.
Better, and wiser, to put infant supplies on board.

. If they dont want sex to happen, NASA can just send married couples. Theres nothing like wedding cake for putting an end to sex.

Got news for them. Zero-g on zero-g action will be happening no matter what the gender mix. Just like prison, a year and a half locked up like that people will totally go gay for the stay.

Train Obama and get him to go with them. It's no problem, he's too in love with himself to mess with them.

What NASA needs is a better propulsion system that can accelerate and decelerate the craft during the entire flight. I believe that would make the trip a few weeks or months. We always heard about ion drives and nuclear propulsion, why are none of those feasible?
