American Made premieres this week, bringing two reunions with it: Tom Cruise and Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman, and Tom Cruise and his ever-growing age gap with his female co-stars. Sarah Wright (who plays Cruises wife in the film) was born in 1983 just a couple months after the premiere of Risky Business, making her 22 years Cruises junior. Which is somewhat uncomfortable.

And the same gender, too, which is even more surprising.

At 55, his “love interest” is way beyond young enough to be his daughter...some people find it awkward or creepy.
At some point, his plastic surgery likely will fail and he may have to face facts that he is a middle aged man—not a spry 30-something.

Another hideous pairing was Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt in AS GOOD AS IT GETS.
I mean, COME ON.
I don’t even think men bought that.

I don’t think most people think much about the real-life ages of actors.

If you don’t have a problem with it, so be it...
I am old enough to know how old Tom Cruise is...I think he is a pathetic Peter Pan who is in denial.

He's acting in a role. So is the actress playing his romantic interest. Either the audience will find it believable, or they won't. The only movie I've seen with Tom Cruise was Risky Business, when I was a teenager.

I never said you were a fan...That is really not relevant...I have seen and own many of his movies—but I think his surgeries and quest to appear younger is foolish and superficial.
He may be acting a role, but I suspect he and his agent have approval over co-stars selection.
I know he is an actor...he is ‘ACTING’
I just still think he is in denial.
BTW, It is OK to disagree.

I think his surgeries and quest to appear younger is foolish and superficial.I agree. I haven't noticed his face recently, but that of the former Mrs. Tom Cruise is looking noticeably alien (not younger) these days.

These days I will be standing in the checkout line looking at the fetching young women on magazine covers, and the first thought that crosses my mind is shes probably my daughters age. Really, really creeping me out.
My daughter is 29 so most of those on the magazine covers are way younger than her. I get the willies just thinking about that.

I imagine most of the good looking gals that catch my eye are younger than the belt-buckle I’m wearing! I recall the day when I finally realized I wasn’t 25 anymore. Standing in the checkout line with my child in the stroller - probably sucking up my gut a little bit for the cute little gal behind the counter. “Oh - is that your grandchild!?”
