All planning falls apart.
Because no plan can take into account your fellow human being.
Those that survive the collapse of civilization will be lucky, period.
Easy, do not take advice from Pinch and the NY Slime.
When the SHTF, if you are not already in your bolt-hole, you stand little chance of getting through it.
People will be going nuts, and you can’t carry nearly enough ammo to deal with them.
this isn’t sarcasm.
Actually, it is. By the very mention of "the Apocaplypse", the question is already a theological one (for lack of a better term). Spiritual might be preferable, in fact. The Apostle John saw some things 2000 years ago by being closely tied in with powers that are beyond our domain. He saw them from a perspective where, in the eternal realm, the end of history has already taken place, and the merging of time and eternity was about to begin. The one terminates and merges with the other.
People who do not believe these things, or those who have refused to treat them as genuine and therefore have not dealt with them, are nonplussed.
Those who are impressed by the prophetic are fascinated to see things that should not have been known by a man 2000 years ago, lining up right before our eyes.
As long as some sniper isn’t on the shore or bridges trying to pick off people trying to escape by water.
A better idea is to not live in cities of that size to begin with.

On second thought, why not start kayaking out of NYC right now?

Does anyone truly wish to escape the terrors of the Tribulation (or the Apocalypse)?
Simple . . . Come to Jesus Christ and be saved!
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life” (John 5:39-40).
“Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” (John 20:29-31).
Everything that our country stands for is found in the Word of God - the Holy Bible. It would seem that this would be the easiest decision in the world for people that claim to be conservatives.
Five seconds after the Tribulation begins, there will be NO conservatives.
Was that yesterday? The world ending? It didn’t. Is the apocalypse the end of the world? Not the same as the rapture, is it?
None of that happened.
Thanks!

Hey, SubMareener, the world didn’t end yesterday. You were wrong. You were wrong for months. So, what did you do? Did you re-evaluate your false beliefs and admit your faults thereof before God?
No. You just continued in your errors and said the world would end today. Well, today might not be over, but it’s close to 5 PM in Jerusalem and the world is clearly not ending today.
So what will you do now? Will you finally re-evaluate your false beliefs and instead embrace what the Bible ACTUALLY SAYS? Or will you just “adjust” your false and vain and unbiblical calculations and say the world will end tomorrow, and then the day after that, and then the day after that?
NYT, day late, dollar short.
Don’t they know the end of the world was yesterday.
The time for stories such as this was at least a week ago.
We bought a folding kayak from REI—family likes it.
