Jerry Lewis certainly got in the last laugh when it came to his strained relationship with his children.
According to his Last Will and Testament, provided to PEOPLE by The Blast, the funnyman emphatically cut out all six children he had with his first wife Patti Palmer meaning they will [inherit] nothing.

Sounds like litigation forever unless he sealed it watertight.
A horrible husband and father to his first family, till the bitter end.
Hopefully he left them a work ethic, they they won’t need anything else.

This will be fought in the courts for ages.
It seems that the Funny man wasnt that funny after all.
Keeping in mind of course they’re all in their 60s and 70s by now. So they should be pretty well established anyway.
By many indications, Jerry Lewis was a bitter, grudge-holding prick.
It is a sad and terrible thing to disinherit a child; what a legacy of bitterness. I would surely fear losing my eternal inheritance from my heavenly father if I did such a thing.
Without knowing, hard to say what went on. Some wives and mothers can be brutal in turning their children against their father. Don’t know if any of that was here in this case or not.
My understanding is that he did not “leave them out of the will”, that he specifically called each and every one out by name and said that neither they nor their children nor families will receive anything from his estate. They were in the will — they just get nothing. I thought that was acceptable legally.

Not a last laugh, but a last insult. It’s something that decent people just don’t do. I’ve lost some respect for Lewis because of this.
Yep, that’s exactly what he was. This doesn’t surprise me.
Cant imagine why his first wife would be bitter after his years of cheating and dumping her for a dancer
He also left an illegitimate daughter who is living on the streets homeless
I meant to type "I WOULDN'T want to be the lawyer handling this job."
Darn "Smart" phone.
I really need to stop trying to use the Voice Recognition to FReep.
36 years in the first marriage, and 34 years in the second marriage.
Being an entertainer in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s does not help him be a paragon of virtue, especially hanging out with Martin, Sinatra and the like. I have heard that alcohol may have even been involved.
Since I only have 35 years into my marriage I would hope that I could see 70 years of married life as he did.
wow, he was one bitter angry man. Forget his “loving and tireless” charity efforts. What he did to his six children will forever be his legacy.
