The woman, who has not yet been identified, is expected to graduate Monday from the grueling Infantry Officer Course, the Washington Post reported Thursday.
The lieutenant completed live fire drills at Twentynine Palms, Calif., the final requirement of the three-week course that was opened on an experimental basis to women in 2012 and typically has a 25 percent washout rate.
She is expected to lead a platoon of about 40 infantry Marines in a service often regarded as the most resistant to full gender integration in the military.

I’m so glad I wasn’t around to see my Corps turned into a giant social experiment lab.
The Rules of Engagement will have to be changed to accommodate all the perversions?
I’d rather resolve it the way we all know it should be resolved!
Losing our country because we have a pussyfied military is not on my “To-Do List!”
No it won’t be removed.
Because the flaw in your premise is that women wnat equal treatment.
You know they have NEVER wanted equal treatment.
THEY WANT SPECIAL TREATMENT. They want all the perks of equal treatment but none or the responsibility and negatives that come with equal treatment. THen they play the victim/woman card and the stupid beta males come in and support and rescue them, thinking they are doing a good thing going after the “evil” men who treated them like they would another equal man.
Sickening to imagine a platoon of Riflemen taking orders from a chick.
This wouldn’t be happening if Mattis was still alive...
And you know it’s true.
IF women are strong and independent why so many magazines and stories about “I cant find a guy/Its so hard to find a good guy/How to seduce the guy you want”? They want mens resources.
If women are so strong and independent why 2900+ women abuse shelters but only 2 mens abuse shelters when women are 44% of domestic abusers against men?
If women are so strong and independent why won’t they date a guy who has a lower job than theirs, or date someone who wants to quit working after getting married?
Women are not equals. Legally they are equal as people. They are equivalents in many things but unequal in many, many things. It’s just what it is. They are takers and want to be taken care of. Men are makers and women would rather not make, but glom onto a successful maker because it’s way easier. If they get “bored” or “unhappy” they divorce and get a cash and prize bonanza.
All military leaders responsible for putting this women in that combat position should be court martialed for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
They’re too busy dancing with each other at the academies.

I agree, but that is a terrible thing. How many of our men (and those women) will shed blood before someone has the sense to change it? That is awful to consider.
I always held out hope for the USMC. The Navy (I am former Navy) and Air Force I think have been gone for a while with the Army right behind them, but...I guess I felt that as long as there was a Corps...there was a chance it could be undone.
I guess not.
“The question is did they lower the standards for her to make it?
If it’s a real woman of course they lowered the standards. Not a woman alive can pass any Special Ops training without standards being lowered. If and when a woman becomes a linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks, she might be ready for special operations, which is tougher than the NFL.
I was an enlisted Marine and retired as an AF officer.
She will rise or fall based on her ability to lead, improvise, overcome, and earn the respect of her Marines. Respect and the desire to follow a real leader is earned, not a given.
It’s always been that way. Read some of the first person accounts of WWII Marines in the Pacific. You quickly see that those who were posers merited the dislike and distrust of their NCOs and enlisted men while those who actually led and understood their men had their everlasting respect and they would follow them without question.
How will she pan out? We’ll see but I don’t have a lot of hope. It’s all on her.
I read elsewhere a comment that they had bent the standards just a “little” but I have no good source or any knowledge.
Power without accountability is dangerous.
I always ask these femi nazis one question. Can YOU!, take a 150 pound sack of potatoes and drag it a city block in 5 to 10 seconds?
OH YES! OH YES! OK then, I will get a sack and fill it with 150 pounds and lets see.
They always come back with the usual excuses and demand I answer why. The answer is so simple. In a firefight your fellow troops are depending on you to get them outta there if they get hit. If you cant, they wont want anything to do with you...at least I wouldnt.
Next one. Can you look another human in the eye and stick him, killing him? Can you shoot a child who is running towards you with a grenade? Can you shoot another woman who is shooting at you?
They all still think they can serve in the squads that fight at the front. I couldnt trust any one of them in that role.
Some women recommend doing a fake reach for a credit card at the end of a date. It is a pretense of being independent and not seeking resources from a man. In fact, however, they expect the man to insist on paying, meaning that the woman’s fake move gets her the pretense of independence, while she still gets the man’s resources.
That applies to lots of situations between women and men.
I would love it if their date saw their “fake reach” and let them get the bill.
On not so great dates the guy excuses himself to the restroom and afterwards walks out. Don’t worry, he learned it from women.
THEY WANT SPECIAL TREATMENT.
Yep. It is a rare woman who does not take advantage of the fact they she was born with a free meal ticket machine between her legs.
The guy could say to the woman, “That is great that you, showing your independence, have taken your credit card out to pay the bill!”
“So yeah, meet you outside, bye!”
There is a designation for women who engage in that transaction.
