Nurses at a naval hospital in Florida have been booted from their posts after sick photos went viral of them rudely posing with newborn babies and referring to the tots as mini Satans.
One of the pics posted to Snapchat shows Allyson Thompson, a corpsman at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, flipping the bird to a baby whos wrapped in a blanket, along with the caption, How I currently feel about these mini Satans, according to Action News Jacksonville.
In another photo, Thompson grins as she holds a baby up by its arms. The pic was shared by a woman who identified the employee as a navy nurse who made the newborn dance to rap music, First Coast News reported.

“I do know that my daughter and daughter-in-law are both nurses, and they would not be allowed by their employers to have those long, pink fingernails as shown in the flipping off picture. Especially for a NICU nurse.”
I saw that but then again the way professional nails are done these days maybe the rules have relaxed? I’ve been in doctor’s offices and seen this. The difference? Well these new nails are done on like car paint, when they are on they are on and can only be taken off by a nail stylist. Not like the old days when they could chip off everywhere. One nurse told me about her nails, the paint had been on for three months and I could see where her nails had grown but the paint remained.
Daughter works in a maternity ward. The ward nurses are pro-life...and very happy to work there. It’s my daughter’s dream job.
I don't care one way or the other. I only stated it was a good question. More information is clearly needed. Because determining motive is of some interest in such a case. Their motivation does not excuse their actions to be sure but, to an outside observer, it may shed some light on the issue.
I sold Infant Formula and spent countless hours in Hospital Nurseries, NICU’s, and Maternity wards. Based on my experience I think everyone needs to take a breath. A lapse of judgement does NOT make these nurses “evil” and “bad”. Were the infants harmed? What is the record of these nurses?
I heard awesome nurses refer to “FLK’s”(Funny Looking Kids) and “FUGLY” babies. I have heard complaints about “Screamers” and “Yellers”. If you want to live in a fantasy world where nurses act wonderful, caring, and patient all the time go ahead and deceive yourself.
Let’s not join the “Outrage Industry” unless there is real evidence of harm or wrongdoing. Discipline these nurses. Don’t crucify them.
This post generated an angry response, with many calling on police to arrest Thompson and others thanking the hospital for taking such quick action after the pictures and video went viral.
Just speechless - this is a Romans 8:26 moment if there ever was one.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
I didnt even read the story, but I saw your post.
I had to laugh, because you are so right.
One of the trips my daughter had to do in her B.S.N. training was to go down to Richmond VA to the Nursing Board and sit in on the hearings where nurses were getting their licenses revoked. She said it left a deep impression on the students!
I don't know what to say. My anger has to be checked.
Let's hope they are severely punished and shamed.
I do know the younger generation raised on the internet and many on liberal/social media/indoctrination are detached from reality and demented. This is the generation in the working in nursing homes, hospitals, schools, military, police forces and all other public service occupations.Oh,they also will govern us.That's not very reassuring.
Sick. What is the world coming to?
I worked in a big city ER for years. We treated decent, respectable people as well as the dregs of society. One could easily detect a basic animosity on the part of physicians, surgeons and nurses when dealing with the "dregs".But they were professional enough to keep it to themselves and to provide good care as well.
The issue with nails is the dirt under them, not the polish. I scrubbed off my finger prints from doing a 3 minute scrub-in before work in NICU. For the same reason, we pinned our wedding rings to our scrubs. For all my years in NICU I can’t imagine a nurse doing this. Even the continuously screaming drug withdrawal babies where shown utmost compassion and patience. And when will people ever get a clue to not have photographic evidence of bad behavior?
They will learn real soon the world isn't to play with or accommodate them!

Sorry Toots ...I don’t pay you to flip a bird at MY baby and say that’s how you ‘really’ look at him/her...or as a little satin without me leaving marks on you! Ever!

I’ll put you down for crucifying these nurses.
Send them to the Bagram, Afghanistan trauma center. That’ll teach them to appreciate life and keep their smart ass yaps shut. Maybe post them as a FOB corpsman.
Yes....
My guess is the nurses involved have already had abortions. Once done so, there is no respect for life, unless one repents of course, so this isn’t really surprising. Mother Teresa had this all figured out long long ago.
These uterly evil women should be arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced to lengthy prison sentences. They should also be sued in civil court and financially punished.
