NEW YORKTrump administration officials said Saturday the U.S. wouldnt pull out of the Paris Agreement, offering to re-engage in the international deal to fight climate change, according to the European Unions top energy official.
The shift from President Donald Trumps decision in June to renegotiate the landmark accord or craft a new deal came during a meeting of more than 30 ministers led by Canada, China and the European Union in Montreal.
The U.S. has stated that they will not renegotiate the Paris accord, but they will try to review the terms on which they could be engaged under this agreement, European Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Cañete said.
Yet another misleading headline. And the source isn't the Trump administration.
If true, then Javanka
Quite the opposite. At best he has said ‘they don’t really know” and has promised over and over to withdraw from Paris (which still isn’t legal as its a treaty that was never ratified)
I call “fake news”
And Gary, McMaster, Tillerson, etc.
I hope it’s not true, though.
It is fakenews. This is the clue “but they [the US] will try to review the terms on which they could be engaged under this agreement”
That means our current state is NOT ENGAGED I.E. pulled out of the agreement. “Reviewing the terms” under which we could be engaged” is something Trump said we would do in his June Paris speech.
If true, Trump’s gone as wobbly as a toy top on its last revolution.
LOL. Even the bones won’t be thrown. A lot of gullible people in this country.
As the President has made abundantly clear, the US is withdrawing unless we can re-enter on terms more favorable to our country.
That statement, from @LWalters45, is a good reminder that Trump has always left this door open.
“The White House denied the report.
“There has been no change in the United States’ position on the Paris agreement. As the President has made abundantly clear, the United States is withdrawing unless we can re-enter on terms that are more favorable to our country,” a spokesperson said in a statement.”
It’s not true. read 9, 14, and 26. And THINK!!
John Roberts was supposed to be good. It’s only a small sample size, but in the cases he’s ruled on so far in the Supreme Court, he comes out between Sandra Day O’Connor and Souter. So, how conservative is that?
“during the withdrawal process”
What “process?” You just gather up all your stuff, leave, and don’t come back.
Finally some coherence, thanks!!
Yeah, I keep reading emails that Trumpers are burning MAGA caps, so, they’re probably champing at the bit to push more of that ilk.
The Donald is going soft. 9/11 speech had no mention of Radical Islam, DACA people stay, transgenders can reenlist, the Norks keep on testing with little in way of USA response, the USA stays engaged in Afghanistan, Hillary on book tour instead of behind bars, and White House is knee deep in Democrats etc.....
I was ready to march in the streets for “The Donald” now I wouldn’t get out of bed if he knocked on my door.
I don’t know the details. Likely some requirements up until a specified date we must commit to under Obama.
Yeah, I keep reading emails that Trumpers are burning MAGA caps, so, theyre probably champing at the bit to push more of that ilk.

I don’t believe it for a second. It’s either leftists or Cruzers who have bought the caps just to burn them.
“The U.S. has stated that they will not renegotiate the Paris accord, but they will try to review the terms on which they could be engaged under this agreement,
That statement is gobbledygook. “Try”? “Could be engaged”? My sense is that the administration will be clarifying & walking this statement back on the Sunday shows.
Maybe if he makes nice on global warming then the democrats will like him just like they liked George Bush when he caved to the democrats on stuff
