What now?
Thats the question Danica Patrick faces now that she knows for certain she will not return to Stewart-Haas Racing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series next season. And considering that she barely scrapped enough funding together to keep the No. 10 afloat this season, it means her options are limited if she wants to remain in a competitive seat.
So what are her options?
From the outside looking in, its hard to see how Patrick remains in the Cup Series with a competitive ride, and she has continually discounted options in other divisions.
But for the sake of conversation, lets evaluate every potential landing spot and determine how realistic each of them are.

Beep Beep,Beep Beep, Yeah.
My wife despises Danica. She thinks she got her ride based on gender not talent. Can’t disagree. She can’t dig deep when it counts.
We had garage passes at Dover this spring. She got mad when I kept taking closeups of the 10 car in the garage.
This type of comment is part of why I don’t contribute to FR. The “Laz would hit it” comments are juvenile as well. Puerile comments such as yours demean all of us. IMHO she was not a successful NASCAR driver. At times she attempted to capitalize on her femininity/sexuality. She’ll move on. As will we. I never thought I’d say this to someone but you’re comments are piggish and add nothing to a ‘good’ conversation.
Hmmm.... what’s next? Wife to Ricky Stenhouse? Mother...F1 driver? Who knows? I’d like to see Darryl ‘Bubba’ Wallace in the 10 car or Aric Alameda (if I spelled him correctly).
Lol...we truly need a like button...
What does that have to do with it?
I’m not into NASCAR as I was because of the France family helping Toyota. I’ve been boycotting all products on Toyotas, because they are cheating....
so she wasn’t that good.....that can be said of a ton of drivers....”junior” has been a no show for yrs but they kept him going because of his name and his looks....
That’s true...I drove a modified at Stafford and Thompson and it is tough...you got to have reflexes and know what your spotter and crew chief are doing...
Ah... ONLY if she hates Trump.
Too bad. She always seemed a colorful competitor and easy to like.
A spunky competitor and constant underdog.
I, for one, will miss her.
She should head back to Indy with Penske or Ganassi. She did well there and has more of a weight advantage in a 1500 lb race car vs 3500 car.
All about money, but what about first woman winner or pole sitter at Indy. Think of the sponsors etc. Great eye candy too. Inspiring to younger females too. Bring in more women (and men fans)
She needs to take a class in humility and stop blaming other drivers for her mis fortunes, and just say “that is racing.”
Advice for Indy
-Drive hard
-Go fast
-Only turn left, never right to catch a car, let the rear hit the wall not the nose
-Don’t whine when things go wrong, just was not your day
Indy needs some kind of shot in the arm and spectacle. And she was it back in 2004 or so
Indy has No real hero Drivers other than
Retired Owners...
Ganassi
Foyt
Andretti’s.
You write it Well!
I can’t pronounce half the names of “Indy” car drivers anymore. That’s when it died.
Excuse me...am I supposed to give a damn about your opinion!!
