What's next for Danica Patrick after losing her NASCAR Cup Series ride?

What now?
Thats the question Danica Patrick faces now that she knows for certain she will not return to Stewart-Haas Racing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series next season. And considering that she barely scrapped enough funding together to keep the No. 10 afloat this season, it means her options are limited if she wants to remain in a competitive seat.
So what are her options?
From the outside looking in, its hard to see how Patrick remains in the Cup Series with a competitive ride, and she has continually discounted options in other divisions.
But for the sake of conversation, lets evaluate every potential landing spot and determine how realistic each of them are.

It was just a matter of time. NASCAR will have to find a new female driver.

I don't know, but it'll probably involve camera time at NASCAR events and pay a lot better than whatever's next for the next male driver to lose his NASCAR Cup Series ride. She may have lost her Cup Series slot, but she'll keep her seat on the undeserved-hype train.
To: dfwgator
Her main squeeze is still a driver. And I doubt if either of them is a pauper. Maybe they should make it legal, and she can keep the homefires burning. Just a suggestion.

At age 35, she’s into the upper age limit for competitive drivers even if she had a much better track record.
It’s over, and like a lot of charismatic former drivers, there are plenty of alternative careers inside and outside of racing.

Never a fan, but I will say that Richmond last Sat. night was prolly the best I have seen her race....until she wrecked. The fact that she used her own money to sponsor her car also says a lot.
She can drive a cup car. She can drive a cup car fast. Racing a cup car is something else. IMO, she is a low 2nd tier - high third tier cup driver.

Never liked how she Americanized her name, but I’m sure it was a good decision to make her more marketable.
She’s eastern european - of Serbian or Croatian lineage, I think. She used to be “Dah NEET zah”.
