A Citroën DS. The brake pedal was like this little mushroom thing, many of the controls were pneumatic so there were soft hisses and sighs. Weird, yes, but I love those things. The most comfortable car I've ever been in, bar none.

Ah, you are speaking my language. I have long had a soft spot for the DS 19.

Some guy a decade or so back had leased several blocks of the area below the I-880 in Oakland for storage. He either died or just abandoned it, and we got called in there to tally up all the hazmat and get rid of it. There were several Citroens and Panhards under there among the cars (I called it “The place Pontiac vista cruisers go to die” because there was about a dozen under there.

I kick myself thinking about it because there were pallets of new in box parts scattered under there, OEM stuff for 40’s to 60’s/70’s era cars. Not bauble and gewgaw stuff either, rods, bearings, pistons, cranks etc...

A friend of mine lived next to some folks that had two Citroens. Looked funny but solid. Their driveway lead down to the garage, so you would see the car level off and settle down.

A friend of mine had a Citroen with a two stroke engine. We had a lot of fun in that thing. It was a pretty exotic car for our neck of the woods.

He lent it to his beautiful but seriously ditzy sister and she let the oil reservoir run dry.
Engine seized up tighter than Dick’s hat band.
Yes, she was a blonde.
A natural platinum blonde.
