The great mind of Jennifer Lawrence who literally auditioned on the casting couch for this flick, this movie is a metaphor for Mother Earth.
No really ...she said that.

Maybe this will put more than a dent in Trump and America hating Jennifer Lawrence’s career.

I thought Aronofsky's Pi and Requiem for a Dream were both very well done.

Maybe Rex just likes happy-happy-joy-joy movies.

I don’t think Rex Reed remembers watching Highlander 2...

... kinda understandable as, along with Ishtar, people block that out of their conscious memories.

she has announced she is going on a 2-year hiatus. I’m guessing it’s not voluntary.

Requiem For a Dream is a ridiculously good movie, although incredibly dark, but that is how addiction is.

Mother is a film that I never intend to see. I’m not interested in anything with Jennifer Lawrence in it.

As far as stars go, she has to be the most incredibly average looking woman I’ve ever seen, and she’s an obnoxious dope to boot.

One critic says it’s a satire on the chaos the dysfunctional world has been turned into by Donald Trump.

Can't be much of a critic. The script would have been written long before Donald Trump was elected. Shooting began in June 2016 and concluded August 28, 2017 according to Wikipedia. Which I find hard to believe. That was a little over a month and a half ago. I can't imagine a movie going from last scene shot to theaters in a little over a month and a half. As to it being a satire on chaos caused by Donald Trump, no way. Obama is the one that brought chaos and dysfunction to the world.

” I love the review that compares the movie to the “lancing of a boil.”

Oh that’s a good one!

National Review film critic Kyle Smith called the film “a Biblically-infused version of torture porn”, saying “it may be the most vile and contemptible motion picture ever released by one of the major Hollywood studios”.

Oh my, not seen it yet but I guess it’s in the same league as the Joan Collins 1982 clunker “Homework” or Jacqueline Bisset’s “Class” or the all time 1978 Travolta classic “Moment By Moment”, lol.
