President Donald Trump has blocked a Chinese government-financed firms acquisition of an Oregon semiconductor maker on national security grounds.
Trumps order Wednesday came after a federal panel that reviews foreign investment for possible security threats ruled against the proposed $1.3 billion takeover of Lattice Semiconductor last week.
The deal has been under scrutiny since it became clear the buyer, Canyon Bridge Capital Partners, is funded by the Chinese government.

Yikes, what does this say about a company like Broadcom? It’s home is Singapore. It’s been gobbling up American companies to the point where they are 5x bigger then they were just 4 years ago. And Broadcom’s CEO, Hock, is on the par when it comes to business skills as is Trump.
