The reason why classic cars are so appealing is the lower belt line. The high belt line of modern cars make them less appealing, at least to me. Picture the Mustang below with a 3 inch lower belt line. It would be even more spectacular.

The "beltl ine" in auto jargon is the line that extends form the trunk to the hood just below where the glass starts.
