Female correction captain yanks officer's genitals during Rikers Island training session — landing him in hospital
A training area for correction officers on Rikers Island recently turned into a nutcracker suite.
Correction Officer Mike Lynch was treated at a hospital last week after Capt. Shaseannia Pittman grabbed his privates during a training session gone bad, the Daily News has learned.

Lynch went to the hospital to seek treatment and was back on the job Wednesday, instructing fellow officers, according to sources.
The union representing correction captains said the incident never would have happened if the department used same-sex instructors to teach evasive moves.
"The academy needs to get up with the times," said Patrick Ferraiuolo, president of the Correction Captains Association. "If they are going to do simulated self-defense moves and be physically touching one another, they need to do it by gender.

A female corrections officer doesn’t have the luxury to pick having only female inmates assault her, especially if she’s working in a facility housing male inmates.
So the male instructor throws a head lock on her and the Academy-approved hold break isn’t working. One suspects he may have held her in the hold a little longer to make the point. She found a way out of it. Crude but effective. In real life it’s what I would hope and expect she’d do rather than get choked out.
Not cricket on either players’ part but then cricket ain’t the game inside, is it?

UPDATE: Following publication of the story, it has been brought to our attention that Captain Shaseannia Pittman was previously under investigation for carrying on a lengthy relationship with a career criminal who was held at Rikers, where she worked, according to the NY Post. She even went as far as allegedly posting to social media upon her convict boyfriend’s death, “MY DADDY, I LOVE YOU FOR LIFE!”
