I personally question Morris and every other sympathizer to DACA “kids”. They are not kids. They are mostly adults who have essectialy learned what they lived, have picked up where they parent’s have put them and increased demands for more and more goodies they have not earned.
When do they have to act like people our country should want as potential responsible legal American residents?

I can see this idea of ‘brilliant strategy’ and a chance for a ‘win’ being pushed (including Limbaugh et al). It is what the donors and establishment want. They (and their servants) will go full on trying to convince us this is a good deal. It is not a deal, and certainly not a good one.
Any amnesty is a loss, and that is what a DACA ‘fix’ would be.
The solution was simple: end DACA, replace it with nothing. For the illegals covered: as their deferred action period ended they became subject to deportation. No legislation was needed; no ‘deal’ was needed.
Stroke of the pen, law of the land. Stroke of the pen, no longer law of the land. That’s it. No ‘clever’ deals needed. No 4D chess needed. Just end it.
These are illegal aliens, the ‘dreamer’ designation is a lie as that act thankfully never passed. The key part of DACA is the ‘D’ for deferred. Action was deferred but that deferral has ended (deferred does not mean canceled).
Any deal will likely contain immediate amnesty and immigration surge with a promise of wall funding, e-Verify, and other enforcement issues later. We all know how that has worked out in the past.
Any deal on amnesty (or anything other than massive immigration reduction) must only be considered after a wall is complete, e-Verify implemented, and birthright citizenship ended, and all have been completed or implemented for at least one year. If any one is ended or struck down by courts then the associated amnesty/surge ends too.
The majority of the Republicans (let alone Democrats) do not want any slow down in the ongoing immivasion and demographic swamping of heritage America. Any near-term deal is a loss.
It’s brilliant—because it is bringing us back to the Gang of Eight massive amnesty deal! Yippee!

The limbo DACAers are in is due to a president exceeding his Constitutional Authority.
It also fights the “Trump is Hitler” meme by saying “I’m giving this to the rightful deciders, Congress”.
DACA kids need to go to the back of the line where there are 4.4 million waiting patiently to immigrate. They must pass all the requirements same as any other immigrant. NO ONE talks about those who are doing it right.
The great majority of these “kids” are adults 20+ years old. Stop with the “kids” crapola. Deport every illegal alien. By being here they broke federal laws and are criminals.
