Tommy must be pretty beat up by now from being a human battering ram.

Oh he’s finding things to bash. Like why people are still behind in Florida.
Some stay behind on purpose, to defend their property from looters.
I'm not sure that people who stayed behind deserve to be "bashed".Yes,question their judgment...or sanity...but bashing might be going overboard.Unless,of course, you've stayed behind so you can loot...which is probably what a few have done.
Irma’s mean to Tommy!
“Unless,of course, you’ve stayed behind so you can loot...which is probably what a few have done.”
Happens every time.
Katrina, Rita, Andrew, we saw it with Harvey only they were armed.
Yes people have to stay behind to protect their property.
Irma is still moving West and has lost some power running along the coast of Cuba.
The Media look like idiots.
The man signing for Governor Scott on Fox now is really creative and funny (9:37 EST)
I hope these people don’t end up killed just to protect stuff.
Some have patients to take care of, or to evacuate.
That too! Also insurance reason. Don’t know how to explain it but something about say you only have a hole in the roof, well the owner needs to be there to cover it with a tarp. Often the shelters won’t let them leave or Marshall Law is imposed so they can’t go home to check for small (or large) things like that. Thing about it is if they can put a tarp on the hole their home is saved from further damage and something the insurance does not cover. So they stay at home to protect their home.
Any one here know what I mean?
I suppose that is their poor choice to make. I feel bad for those who are dependent on others to make that choice for them...ie... children and elderly.
The quality of headlines has gotten pretty bad in the last couple of years.
Irma is bashing Florida with Tommy Sotomayor?
Tommy is doing the coverage of Irma bashing Florida.
I know, it just sucks that so many people hire illiterates as writiers.
Grr... Writers.
I’m from FL and have been through 3 hurricanes. If you don’t live on the coast or in a low lying area you don’t need to evacuate. The winds drop fast when the storm starts inland. My cousin is boarded up in Lutz just near Tampa. My other two cousins are in St Pete and New Port Richey. They are not leaving. My nephew is in Orange Park south of Jax. He didn’t even board up. But he should have.
When I was a kid in Jax we didn’t board up for Dora as it was supposed to run up the coast. Instead it hit Jax directly with 120 mph winds. We almost lost the plate glass window in the living room but my Dad sat propping it up with a broomstick. It was pretty scary but our house sustained no damage.
I lived at the Jersey Shore for about ten years - directly on the beach in a condo. Luckily, those ten years were low on hurricanes. I lived several miles inland after that and Sandy pretty much devastated the area! I’ll never forget the rack and ruin, the Red Cross set up at the mall, Fema in Home Depot...yikes! I’ll never live directly on the water again.
