Wonder what’s the name of the church he runs...
I thought you weren’t supposed to take their picture?
Well that changes when Sheriff John Brown comes for you...
He looks really angry that they gave him orange scrubs instead of black. At least there are no zippers on the scrubs.
All levity aside, if he’s found guilty, punish to the fullest extent, then off to a life of solitary freedom as his “community” should completely shun him.
I just reread the charges. Execution is warranted if found guilty.
Even if not found guilty.
I lived around an Amish area for awhile, and unfortunately, this is probably not uncommon. The Amish do not permit local intermarriage and try to get their people to take a spouse from another further-away Amish community. However, after awhile, they’re all pretty closely related. They have a serious problem with birth defects, the mentally handicapped, and people like this. But they won’t admit it, and the cops don’t want to go there.
No, we’re a nation of laws. We just lived through 8 years of people who thought otherwise and look where it got us.
I’ve read about that. Sad that this is what it’s lead to.
Have to feel bad for the wife.
Oh I figured he married and the person he molested was his kid. Don’t know the article does not say but as livius has pointed out the Amish community has some sick secrets.
Hasidic Jews or any inbred group has the same problem. It is really sad, because most of the Amish are fine and pleasant (although you have to check prices if you’re buying or contracting with them, because they’re a bit on the sharp side).
I remember when I went to buy preserves and produce one time and I got to talking with one of the women. She was about 40, really nice, had 11 children (!) and took me down to the cellar to show me her preserves and stored and canned (jarred) veggies, as well as the bacon and ham they had from the slaughter. It was impressive!
I don’t think Amish molesters are going to do well in jail.
No molesters do well in jail. As my wife said once, "even ax murderers have children."
I sent you a pm. On second thought, I decided to post some of it here.
I live near a large Mennonite Community in Texas S.E. of Dallas. With exception, they are a monoculture (as in close).....kind of creepy.
Nicest people you ever met, yet creepy. They, unlike the Amish, use electricity and drive Fords almost exclusively.
I buy some of my groceries at their little store in Kemp. Good stuff, though some of it is pricey. I can buy some things on the cheap, yet other stuff (I guess since it is cert. organic) I will not even look at. The fried pies and bread are to die for.
I have been around these people for long enough to notice some things just ain’t right with them.
And most of these young guys in prison these days have kids on the outside.
They should have worried more about their own kids than beating molesters.
but at least they’re good for something

Down to the cellar?? Perhaps she had something else in mind for this “show and tell” experience!
