Since nothing else has passed, this is what would do it for me. I am sick of Republicans. If he does keep DACA before tax reform and border wall, get used to Speaker Pelosi, Senate majority leader Schumer, and president Kamala Harris.
The courts have already basically held Obama’s actions in creating these programs to be illegal. So Trump is not really repealing anything he should announce he is acting in accordance with the prior court orders and ending the program.

Some people here still don’t understand how Trump operates, but you’ll see. DACA is history.
The only question is whether congress will reinstate it with a veto proof majority. I doubt it. But I would like to see a vote on this issue for the record.
Trump is probably a few moves ahead and wants a vote on this issue so he can use it against the rinos and democrats next year.

I can remember visiting a family from Mexico and about the time we were leaving, the TV station was going off the air and they started playing the National Anthem. If Congress passes a Constitutional LAW and he signs the law, I have no problem. Yes, even if I disagree with the policy decision.
This is the PROBLEM with “DACA”.
I want a government of LAWS, not a government of men. What we had with Hussein, and seemingly increasingly with Republicans, is a law of “men”.

This doesn’t seem that difficult. Ryan (and Pelosi) wants him to hold off. He will be sued by five States if he does. Probably the States will win, although the courts most often don’t follow the law, just their preferences.
Rescind it now and challenge Ryan to do something about it with new legislation. Ryan knows it will be the end of his career if he passes a new DACA. I doubt he will be able to do it.
Trump must not blink on this one. There’s no reason to.

I would look at the balance of what he did at the time I go to vote.
Did he build the wall?
Did he cut taxes?
Did he reduce the national debt?
Did he cut “entitlements” to which people are not really entitled? (food stamps, welfare, obamaphones, .....)
Is Hitlery in jail? Comey? Soros? Podesta? Lynch? Holder? McAuliffe? so many others?
There are many things that will figure into my decision in 2020, not a single issue.
Basically, I want to see that he has done everything possible to make America great again. He’s only about 7 months in and I don’t expect everything immediately, but I’d like to be seeing substantial improvements soon.
There are no viable alternatives to Trump. They are ALL swamp dwellers.

The last EIGHT YEARS of arrivals can kiss off. DACA needs to go down on its own, simply for lack of merit alone, certainly as a vehicle to hide gang members and felons it must be crushed.
Good Mexican grandkids can be in college on their own two feet like anybody else. They never needed DACA.

As a matter of fact, it is we who owe them an apology. At least the old timers and their kids and now grandkids in college.
They could not possibly know that they would be used as mules and then turned into a political football after having kids and grandkids born here. It’s a shame, and it’s our government that did it to them. They did not do it to us.
