VIDEO: Awan Asks Judge To Remove GPS, Citing Possible Emergency With Kids In Pakistan
A former House of Representatives IT aide was arraigned in federal court Friday on four felony fraud charges, appearing with three attorneys including Chris Gowen, a former close aide to Hillary and Bill Clinton.
Gowen asked that Imran Awans GPS monitoring bracelet be removed, citing that Imran might need to attend to an emergency with his children. In a press conference outside court, Gowen admitted that the children are in Pakistan and refused to explain the discrepancy.
His ability to parent, which may well be single parenting, if there is an emergency Gowen said.
He also asked for other restrictions on his movement to be lifted, saying he has been driving for Uber, but the company had no record of any driver matching several variations of Imrans name.
Prosecutor Michael Mirando opposed the motions, saying Imran is a severe flight risk. From Day 1 there was a pattern of flight. It began September 2016 a pattern of transfers to Pakistan, hundreds of thoudands of dollars, he said. The judge has not ruled on the motion.
Imran tried to board a flight to Pakistan in July, but the FBI arrested him at the airport. His wife, Hina Alvi, is already in Pakistan, having taken her kids out of school without notifying their Virginia school system and boarded a flight with household goods, and Mirando said authorities are sure she has no intention to return.

Tough toe nails
Let’s see, an activist judge ruling in favor of a criminal. Hard to imagine that happening. /s
Luke Rosniak might do the decent thing and at least acknowledge George Webb, who broke the case and did most of the research for him, even if Rosniak did piddle around 100 days before doing anything with it. He could at least speak to George next time he sees him in the courtroom.
Bye-bye Imran.
Gonna be one gone Mike Foxtrot.
Not just no, but Hell no.
Our progressive elites are in the process of making this scandal disappear
An AG with some stones would simply declare: no GPS?? Then he’s simply going to be imprisoned until trial as a flight risk
He also asked for other restrictions on his movement to be lifted, saying he has been driving for Uber, but the company had no record of any driver matching several variations of Imrans name.
This ridiculous attempt to get out of being monitored should alert the judge to what we already know he is a flight risk who should have his bail revoked, and be locked in maximum security to protect him from the Clintons making him suspiciously disappear once they know he is not going to conveniently disappear.
Anyone snap a photo of this character?
The latest buzz is that Imran and his employer, Indiana Democrat Andre
Carson, a Muslim, played video games in Carson's Congressional office.
Then one astute FReeper pointed out that they could have been
communicating classified intel via the video game.
Still no arraignment data for Hina Alvi.
Alvi, who also worked for House Democrats including Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has also been indicted. If she misses her arraignment a date has not been set she would formally become a fugitive
George webb is an aggregator of facts.....and a good one.
But reporter Luke Rosiak is a digger....he comes up w/ amazing factoids.
Rosiak never lets up-—he bird-dogs the sensational facts of this case.

George Webb did:

There is no discrepancy, he wants to flee the country to Pakistan.
They need to just lock him up, if there is an emergency of some kind then they can decide. No monitoring, just lock him up.
