But since the violence in Charlottesville, Va., two weeks ago, the anger from the left over monuments and public images deemed racist, insensitive or inappropriate has quickly spread to statues of Christopher Columbus, the former Philadelphia tough cop Mayor Frank Rizzo, Boston’s landmark Faneuil Hall, a popular Chicago thoroughfare and even Maryland’s state song. An Asian-American sportscaster named Robert Lee was pulled from broadcasting a University of Virginia football game so as not to offend viewers.
Coloured people don't like Little Black Sambo. Burn it. White people don't feel good about Uncle Tom's Cabin. Burn it. Someone's written a book on tobacco and cancer of the lungs? The cigarette people are weeping? Burn the book.
Let us destroy all the monuments and memorials just to be safe. You don't like Confederates. We don't like Woodrow Wilson and FDR so all of them go. Perhaps exceptions for Saint MLK, Saint Harvey Milk, and Saint Obama.

Eight years of a racist president and the follow-up anti-Trump hysteria have resulted in mass hysteria. Hopefully, at least some of the participants will look back in a year or so and feel foolish. Then again, they may turn nostalgic like the sixties hippies cum stock brokers who pay a million dollars for a VW van. Maybe they’ll collect masks.

When a person does something that influences direction of the US, upon his/her death all literature, calculations, news reels (love that too), video and transcripts will be piled up and burned. If this person made a mark on the Country he/she will not be interned but incinerated and his/her ashes spread to the 4 points of the Globe.
Let's see how far we get ahead or long we last (which will not be long the way we are going) as a nation when we destroy all of our history and quit storing it for PROSPERITY.

I've been thinking about this lately. In previous mass hysterias - peak oil, over population, hole in the ozone, heterosexual AIDS, etc. there really wasn't much of a record for most people.
In the digital age, everything is recorded history. Folks may need to own up to their fevered, impulsive idiocy. Or, perhaps that's what's driving this mania to erase history?
Shut down now every school before the can teach any history or uncomfortable facts.
Now I'm thinking taxpayers should pay monthly Reparations to qualified individuals in Chicago—to test a point.
We are truly living in the crazy years!
