You can call Ashley Judd a Golden Globe-nominated actress or a feverish Kentucky Wildcats fan but don't call her "sweetheart."
Judd took to Facebook Live earlier this week condemning employees at an unspecified airport after saying she experienced "everyday sexism" on her way through security Saturday.

Ok, how about I call you a jerk? You like that woman?
how about we call her “Francis”?
Sweetheart. Is outrage.
That's true, hon.
South Philly Italians call both males and females of all ages "mommy" as a term of friendly banter. I've heard a grown man walking down the street holding his male toddler by the hand and saying, "C'mon, mommy."
The other South Philly equivalent to "hon" is "doll." That's for total strangers, like the x-ray technician at Jefferson Hospital to a patient, or the cashier at the Wawa to a customer. But if you know someone even slightly, and especially if you recognize and like someone but don't know their name, you might say "dollface."
That is just hilarious. Thanks for the link. Wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
It took me years to realize that Naomi couldn’t half-sing and can hardly carry a tune. She’s just got the sheer chutzpah and drive that Wynonna probably didn’t have at age 16 when Naomi forced her on to the bus!
And for years I wondered why Wy always seemed so angry at her mom. Then I watched that series they did on Oprah. Fascinating.
They couldn’t hardly talk to each other without their traveling therapist. But Naomi acted weak and helpless until the last show, then her true colors came out and she was 100% she devil towards her daughter.
Gave me a new appreciation for Wynonnah.
What a joy she must be to be around...
I a man am frequently called sugar by waitresses. I have been known to call them darling or sweetheart. It is just a Southern thing. It is actually very nice to hear it. Get over it Judd.
ps
I know what I would like to call Ms. Judd but Jim Rob would ban for life :(
Judd sold her soul to the Hollywood hippies.
Funny! Good one!
Excellent suggestion!
That does p!ss them off! I did that. We snuck back into concert hall after a Three dog night concert in early 1970s. Getting autographs, I asked Chuck Negron, What did you write!? He said, My name!
I said, I don’t know your name.
Ooooooh famous people think they are gods.
Later I read Three dog night broke up and Chuck was using drugs. He was in an alley in L.A. Buying drugs, got shot at. Last I heard he was clean and trying to rekindle his career. Not so arrogant now. I wish him well.
Exactly. Naomi always portrayed herself as the perfect mother when, from several accounts, she was the opposite.
I believe that she resented Wynonna because Naomi had lied to her husband about him being Wynonna’s father when she knew he wasn’t.
I’ve seen pics of Wynonna’s bio dad and she looks just like him. She got her “scowl” and her large build from him. It didn’t take Naomi’s husband (Ashley’s dad) to realize that Wynonna wasn’t his. Naomi wanted to pretend that he was Wynonna’s dad because his family was wealthy. She lied to Wynonna for years.
Unfortunately, Wynonna’s bio dad died before she could meet him.
I watched a documentary about the Judds. A producer who worked with them on their first album was appalled at the way Naomi spoke to Wynonna and taunted her about her weight. I don’t blame Wynonna for having issues with her mom.
They are dysfunctional to the core. As you stated, Naomi was only the backup singer and the “performer” while Wynonna had the genuine talent.
ACTUALLY DUD
I had a women get all upset at me at work while on the phone when I said “yes ma’am”. She said she was not a old women.
I bet she gets upset when you say “Have a nice day”.

No, wait.....I like it when she does that - sweetheart.....
You'd be perpetually pissed off in Georgia and Alabama, sweety!
IIRC in Baltimore “hon” is not sexist. I have had waitresses use it with meme and I’m a guy. Whenever anyone uses it in Colorado I ask if they are from the east.
Oh and brown gravy in french fries.
How about just ignoring her? And her products.
