A man has been arrested following the suspected terror attack in Paris earlier today.
Police confirmed they have made one arrest after six soldiers were injured when a BMW ploughed in to them close to military barracks in a Levallois-Perret suburb, north west of the French capital.
A French official said the arrest was violent, and police opened fire on the 37-year-old suspect.
The terrorist suspect was ‘seriously wounded’ in a fierce gunfight with police officers close to the northern port town of Boulogne-sur-Mer.
He was shot five times, while an officer was also hit by a bullet before the man was arrested, said a source close to the case.

Did they arrest him before or after he was shot 5 times? How does a police hit a suspect 5 times without killing him? Were they using pepper spray? Rubber bullets? .22 non-hollow point rounds?

It can easily happen. I’ve seen folks survive a dozen hits. It’s mainly luck. If no vitals are hit or if hit, they get quick medical attention, a skilled surgeon with a bit of luck can patch the target up.
