MANILA, Aug 7 (Reuters) - North Korea is ready to give the United States a "severe lesson" with its strategic nuclear force if it takes military action against it,
and will not put its nuclear programme or its missiles on the negotiating table, it said in a statement to a regional meeting on Monday.
In a transcript of a statement by Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho, which was distributed to media in Manila,
Pyongyang called new U.N. sanctions "fabricated" and warned there would be "strong follow-up measures" and acts of justice.
It said the resolution showed the United Nations had abused its authority.

It was not immediately clear whether the statement was read to the ASEAN Regional Forum on Monday.
the Norks are not a threat to us.
the neocons are
Could we be approaching the Archduke Ferdinand event that takes the world to war? We’re certainly due. The Fourth Turning Crisis should arrive around 2020, plus or minus a few years.
Reactive threat made in reaction to economic sanctions
Condition YELLOW
North Korea says it can hit any U.S. city
The Norks might not be, but they are merely a proxy state for Communist China and globalist elites.
I am unfamiliar with that concept
Can you clarify ?
Sounds like Big Media is working harder with N. Korea lately to make sure their threats against America are more legible.
Then according to Globalist philosophy,as I understand it,
the Norks are expendable in order to achieve a Global cabal.
I still say one day we blast the place with a gigantic H-bomb. Like a citybuster 1950s type.
Feign complete shock and surprise. Quickly opine that it was a horrible accident in the Nork nuke program. Congratulate them on building a far more yielding bomb than we ever thought possible. Offer humanitarian help.
This is important. Stand by the story.
Hiroshima, Nagasaki, ___________ . . .
I expect there will be more cities nuked, including our own. Thanks to Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and especially Barack Hussein Obama, it's probably unavoidable at this point. I hope and pray that President Trump will be able to change the international dynamic so we can avoid that, but I'm not optimistic.
North Korean tantrums have always showered them with free Stuff and time it STOPPED
Another Mother Of All Battles? I must admit to not wanting this to get over with in this way. Reagan gave the Afghans stinger missiles. Then he put Pershings in Germany. Not too popular. The Norks may be too stupid to see things the way The Soviets did. Trump may have no choice but to let the Norks have the first swing.
The Norks might be a proxy state, but the Nuremberg defense won’t work for Lil’ Kim any more than it worked for the Nazis; he might have been following orders from above, but if he nukes or EMPs American territory, he is still culpable, as are the men who worked on it. So, a nuclear counter-strike would be morally justified.
My only 2 worries about us getting nuked are;
1) for some cruel reason, an enemy decides NOT to hit DC.
2) they do hit DC but some continuity of government plan works perfectly and the same silly asses in the US Government emerge from the rubble and assert their right to rule. If we get a nuclear attack, we out to at least get a new government outta the deal. That’s only fair.
Kim Jong Un will not be satisfied until the terror comes to him. Then he will wish he had not poked the sleeping giant.
Essentially, their theme is that major conflicts in a society/civilization are generational, and predictably occur about every 80 years. The last one was WWII, and the previous one was the Civil War. That pattern repeats, plus or minus a few years, all the way back to the English Hundred Years War... and longer ago, even, but the authors don't provide data for that.
In 1999, they predicted our next crisis. Guess what? It's coming very soon.
Why threaten the United States? The UN resolution was 15-0.
Hey Kim-boy - why don’t you threaten China and Russia?
Thank you for that post "hot link"
It explains the "Fourth Turning" in common sense terms
and explains national economics in common language that all can understand.
If you wondered why one's personal income of yesterday can't keep up with the economic demands of today ..
this article will explain to you why you are more broke now than yesteryear, even with an increase in income.
I never believed the FED.gov statistics about the inflation rate, and this article explains why it is so presented.
What I’m concerned with is NK firing off a nuke/EMP blast above cities like L.A. and the Bay Area wiping out a lot of our communications and for those living there; their power grid.
It would take months, maybe years, before we were back to normal and I’m not just talking about FR.
Yes, NK would be a dry crater, but that won’t get us back to normal fast enough. They know our weakest vulnerability is our power grid and how dependent we are on the Internet now.
