Internet giant Google has been accused by one of its own employees of “alienating conservatives” with its politically correct left-wing bias.
A senior software engineer at the company claimed in a document that was distributed to colleagues that right-wing employees were forced to keep their views “in the closet” to avoid hostility.
The unnamed employee’s outburst also triggered a gender row as he suggested “biological causes” and “neuroticism” were responsible for the lack of women in top tech jobs.
His arguments that men have a higher drive for status and women are “more prone to anxiety” triggered an angry backlash on social media with demands for the author to be fired.
The controversial 10-page document — which was first published by technology news site Motherboard and has been circulated on social media — argues that different traits between men and women are key to understanding why women are under-represented in technology companies.
The engineer claims Google’s “left bias” has created “a politically correct monoculture that maintains its hold by shaming dissenters into silence”. …

I have a similar title - one of several "hats" I wear at work. I volunteered to be our site's diversity person / representative etc. etc. It's all BS and I'm applying the Ron Swanson strategy - destruction from within through violent apathy. I have not troubled our people one bit with anything "diversity" related. I'm afraid I'm terribly ineffective at this volunteer position. In 4 years I haven't even sent one email related to diversity to my site... ;-/

Rant? It isn't a "rant" at all. It's a fairly well-written essay exposing the nonsense we're all supposed to shut up about.

I apologize; by “intolerance of conservatives”, you do mean intolerance of the left against conservatives, correct? because I was misinterpreting that as if it meant “intolerance displayed by conservatives”.
Correct; only the left would paint it as a “rant”. Another attempt by them to shut down free speech and “opposing views”, to use one of their Newspeak terms.
That was worded in a way that could be taken two ways so I corrected it in the post immediately below.
From the earliest days of the country, and later the Republican Party, the idea that people should be judged by their individual talents and work ethic rather than by their biology has set the founders and later the Republicans apart from all of the excuse making which comes part and parcel with people who believe that biology is destiny. We now have a cultural dumpster fire being waged on the minds and bodies of elementary school children thanks to this very idea. It is the justification for transitioning of people over to another gender via medical intervention. I’m sorry but this engineer has swallowed the Lefty Kool-Aid.
It’s just one of those rules of modern political discourse that the ones who preach diversity are also the ones who want to crush dissent.
With all due respect, it is the “biology is not destiny” mindset, especially in its most pedantic interpretation, that has led to such things as the transgenderism madness.
And the Founding Fathers actually judged by character, that being moral and religious, rather than strictly individual abilities. That includes upholding the traditional family, as the basis of civil society.
The founders opposed the class system as determining one’s prospects. There are certainly aptitudes, factors governing appearance, etc which run in families, but the founders rejected this as the determining factor in a person’s life.
The Republicans rejected slavery, which the Democrats gave all sorts of rather elaborate race based “reasons” for engaging in and enabling.
This man is stating the women are biologically unsuited to write code. Why? You sit on your butt doing a detail oriented job. This seems fairly well suited for pink collar workers who are being retrained due to being shifted out of accounting jobs thanks to software packages for things like tax preparation and book keeping.
Transgenderism is a thing now, not because of greater tolerance, but instead because of LESS tolerance.
Our society is polarizing and the political extremes have decreasing numbers of centrists who are capable of pragmatically working together to arrive at compromise solutions. These guys cannot get anything done, including just confirming the presidents appointments so that his administration can function.
The battle of the sexes has likewise reached toxic lows, with feminists marching over, well, they don’t know exactly, but they are mad, darnit, and willing to a previously inconceivable extent to regard the “enemy of their enemy as being a friend.” The men are not happy either, and “Bro culture” has been making headlines thanks to Uber and others. The battle lines have been drawn and it is no longer acceptable to have talents or possess characteristics of personality in childhood thought to be the titled property of the opposite sex. No, something MUST be done, and sterilization, hormone therapy, and surgical intervention is the cure for this ill.

Imagine if a company hired a Vice President to spew out hate and motivate policies hostile to women, blacks, Hispanics, homosexuals etc.
