Mayor Bill de Blasio plans to push for a tax on wealthy New Yorkers to pay for improvements needed to address the crisis engulfing New York City

I'm sure de Blasio has Seattle's Berkeley economic con artist on retainer massaging the reality.
Drivers in Iowa and Georgia and Alaska have been subsidizing urban mass transit for 50 years with the federal gasoline tax.
How many bureaucrats will be needed to figure out who is or isn’t “low income”. Wouldn’t 100k per year be low income in NYC? Lol!
The master plan is to have NYs entire population be govt employees. Guaranteed Democrat majorities foever!
The wealthy don’t ride the subway. They hire limos and helicopters. Why should they pay for something they don’t use?
And once in Florida promptly engage in the same behavior and voting patterns that turned NYC into the mess it is today. Liberals DON’T learn from their mistakes or they wouldn’t keep doing the same thing over and over again.
Or to put it another way they befouled their.nest and are now moving on to ruin another location.
New Yorkers think they’re really smart, but collectively they’re just as stupid as other liberals
Ol’ Big Bird thinks he inherited the gold key to the crapper, doesn’t he?
Why New Yawkers haven’t bugged out in droves, escapes me. Of course, we ARE getting our share of transplants here in Georgia...the problem is, they bring their money, and their liberalism with them.
I wouldn’t live in New York for a million dollar salary, and a free house.
You CAN’T “fix” the 113-year old NYC subway. It needs to be REPLACED. Line-by-line. It is an engineering and urban management nightmare.
Maybe more of those rich NY libs will surrender their citizenship, and move overseas.
“Everywhere is freaks and hairies. Dykes and fairies, tell me where is sanity. Tax the rich, feed the poor. Till there are no rich no more?”
Will the last pro-life conservative leaving NY, please turn off the light?
Doesn’t help.
NYC will chase the money. If they do ANY business in NYC, the city revenue service will come after them.
IIRC, Rush still gets audited by them every year, since he left NYC for Southern Command.
typical kommie solution for ‘fixing’ overcrowded public transit: spend 1/3 of the new tax money extorted from “rich” people on adding 800,000 new SUBSIDIZED riders, most of whom are probably jobless and/or illegal aliens who will now compete for subway space with folks with jobs who already can’t get to work because of EXISTING overcrowding!
Yeah, that’ll work!
The real problem is that the thugs among them, no more than 30 or 40% of the males, will consider the working riders as walking ATM machines and will rob them at every opportunity,
