COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - When the total solar eclipse hits in a couple weeks, you'll need to have legit glasses to view it to protect your eyes. But what about our animals' eyes?
Dr. Wendy King of Spears Creek Veterinary Clinic says, The short answer is nothing because animals have an inherent knowledge of not looking at the sun and they just don't look up at the sun and stare. So they don't need special glasses.

‘Momma always told me not look into the eyes of the sun....
But momma, that’s where the fun is...’
Yes, but when the sun is 95% obscured, but still quite dangerous to the eyes, it can be (but shouldn’t be) looked at with the naked eye. The problem is the ultraviolet light does its damage without creating pain. Once totality begins, it is perfectly safe to look at—in fact if you have your eclipse glasses on, you won’t see anything.
For those who haven’t experienced a total eclipse of the sun, it does get dark enough to see stars and planets in the sky. At 50% coverage or so, it will appear that the sun is behind a thick cloud. The pinhole bit is a very safe way to look at the partial eclipse, but being in the shade of a tree will let you see dozens of little images of the partially covered sun.
Birds and cats are often fooled into thinking that the sun has gone down and either go to roost or set out on the prowl. If I have a good view of the sky near my beehive I might record how honeybees behave.
Question number three: Do you have a German Shepherd? Mine is either incredibly bright or retarded.....
Last night, she was watching TV with the kids, (yes, she really watches it) .....They had the animated movie “Bolt” on .....whenever the cat was in a scene, she would bark then attack the TV......
I’m getting her glasses just in case.....
>So basically, animals have the good sense not to stare at the >sun.
Well, maybe not Turkeys. And Democrats

But, Mama, that’s where the fun is!
Sh!t. What retards write this stuff? Put ‘em in the closet if you’re so damn worried.
similar to last week’s story about people in NYC refusing to get their dogs rabies shots because it may cause the dogs to become autistic.
