Cursive writing will remain for literate people. So will books, just not te same topics. Holding a book is still often superior to a computer.
When I read for pleasure, it's a hard cover book. It puts me in a whole different zone, away from staring at the words on a computer or listening to it read on a CD. It's a shame to see cursive disappearing. It necessitates a flowing of thoughts and has a creative, individualistic aspect to it. Music? Even if commercial music disappears, there will always be small-group venues and events. That might be an improvement over the way corporate music controls the "musicians" it owns.
What bothers me is how much of that list will be replaced with things that require electricity. What happens when the grid fails?
I watched with fascination a Millennial woman banker doing some fancy printing on a form.
I work with two college students. Their writing resembles the scribbles of a six year old.
