All congressmen and federal employees have better healthcare insurance than everyone else; they are exempt from Obamacare. We need a law and policy that states all federal employees must be subject to and abide by all laws that they create. They shall participate in all programs including healthcare, identical to taxpayers, NO EXCEPTIONS.
The petition is for an executive order from Trump to do that...
I think there is great power in your thoughts. Kind of like a roll call vote on hypocrisy with nowhere to hide ... that would make for some powerful ads in 2018!

I support the idea whole heartedly but am skeptical of the methodology.

Nice deal but not that unusual. My employer provides a gold plan and picks up 100% of the premium for my wife and myself.

I don’t know why people think Congress are exempt from Obamacare. It was a big deal when the amendment to force them into it was passed.

The subsidies are almost 75% paid by the taxpayers. They aren't really in Obamacare if they don't have to endure the skyhigh deductibles and obscene premiums. Let them pay the same way the American citizens do - out of their own pockets.
Can’t take credit - I think it was John Fund who said this morning that no congressman would dare put up a fuss about being included under Obamacare insurance which congress passed and just reaffirmed......
Yes, it is a nice deal and is not unusual at all.
HOWEVER - the congress critters and their staff like to brag that *they* have Obamacare and get their insurance from the exchanges.
They never admit that they get a 75% discount that the average person doesn’t get.
You can’t do anything about it. I have something called the Foreign Service Benefit Plan and it touted as being the same as the “Agency and Congress”. We pay for our plan and maybe it in part an ageny-assisted-paid benefit. No benefit plan can be put in place without agency or the union’s approval. The Congress is not the only place but State Department as well for the 15,00o plus authorized foreign service officer/specialist positions.
Trump should make a prime time speech on this and bring it into the spotlight. How could anyone vote against it?
