Did you see the video? They didn’t show the woman’s full face but her partial face and hands were about normal. She isn’t skinny but has some curves. The driver was rude. Language barrier is NO excuse for his attitude.
The gal in your picture - no one can say she’s on the couch eating bon bons. She’s out having fun.
Just before the Life-Flight to the hospital.
Agreed, but right out of gate, they're trying to fit 4 people in the back seat of a Prius! So, yeah, the fat big-boned girl goes up front. Sheesh.
The snowflakes be melting again.
people are rude all the time. heck, People are rude HERE all the time. it’s not against a law, yet.
First off, I did not post any pictures on this thread.
As for the rest of your comment, the bottom line is that the driver was well within his rights to take only four passengers, as there are only FOUR seatbelts for passengers in a Prius. A quick check of AB law tells me that you get two demerits for having more passengers than seat belts. I doubt that there is an exception for cabs.
I suspect that his passengers were a little ‘lubricated’ after a ‘girls night out’; the biggest one chose to sit in the back. Common sense, so often lacking after the consumption of alcohol, would dictate that the biggest would ride in the front to leave room for the FOUR in the backseat.
Judging by what Ms. McDonald had to say to the interviewer, it wasn’t just how the driver said what he said, it was that they were going to sit where they wanted, PERIOD! Reality is, somewhat similar to the Captain of a ship, the driver of a vehicle has authority over his/her vehicle because he/she is RESPONSIBLE for their safety, among other things. I drive a school bus and, for the safety of my passengers, my bus, other vehicles and pedestrians that I share the road with, and myself; those kids are responsible to heed my instructions, INCLUDING where to sit! If they do not, I cannot kick anyone off, but I can park the bus and wait until they heed my instructions. There is little difference between a drunk passenger and a passenger who is a child, except their size and weight.
Given the fact that they convinced the driver to take one more passenger than he should carry, and likely being ‘lubricated’, they figured they could tell the driver what to do. The driver was in a no win situation with these women. No matter what he said, he would have been in trouble. It would be interesting to hear HIS side of the story!
