Shep had to go years ago. He’s a news anchor. And a news anchor is supposed to report the news, period. No commentary. No sour faces. No little digs. Just report the news.

Shep abandoned all that. Every little thing now requires a personal commentary. Fire him. Then maybe he and Megyn Kelly could start their own cable network. I’ll bet dozens of people would tune in.

JJ: don't listen to Shepard. I saw him during the Katrina coverage and found him ridiculous and his theatrics loathsome.
But know this: he is not spouting off without the Murdoch boys blessing. I hear rumors from many different sources that a true populist/patriot station is being formed to serve this huge demographic.
The Murdoch boys have run into the ground the successful behemoth that their father created. The station is going the way Megyn Kelly: they betrayed their base of conservatives so they are not going to follow, and the Liberals are sure as Hell not going to follow. This is the dilemma they face.
