This study is really quite simple, you count the number as you count the omer.

You begin counting from the first Sabbath after Passover and since the two most famous Passovers are the first one (the Exodus) and the crucifixion of Yeshua I thought one day, let’s run 666 (years) from the crucifixion (year) and see what happened, well.

Look up Jesus in the Encyclopedia Judaica and it tells you that Jesus died, 30 C.E.

Why Didn’t the Red Ribbon on the Head of the Scapegoat Turn White in 30 C.E.?

I was wondering about a story that a “Hebrew-Christian” told me recently. He said that there was a scarlet cloth which would turn white every year when the high priest atoned for the sins of the people. When Jesus died, around 30 A.D., the cloth would no longer turn white when the priest atoned for sins because Jesus was the final atonement. I’ve read this story in other sources, and I wondered what you have to say about it...

...In Tractate Yoma 39b, the Talmud quotes a Baraisa1 that discusses numerous remarkable phenomena that occurred in the Temple during the Yom Kippur service. More specifically, the Talmud states that there was a strip of scarlet-dyed wool tied to the head of the scapegoat2 which at times would turn white in the presence of the large crowd gathered at the Temple on the Day of Atonement. When this phenomenon occurred, the Jewish people perceived this miraculous transformation as a heavenly sign that their sins were forgiven. The Talmud relates, however, that 40 years before the destruction of the Second Temple the scarlet colored strip of wool did not turn white. The text of the Talmud which missionaries quote states,

The Rabbis taught that forty years prior to the destruction of the Temple the lot did not come up in the [high priest’s] right hand nor did the tongue of scarlet wool become white... (Talmud, Tractate Yoma 39b)

Citing the above statement, missionaries contend that the year the scarlet ribbon ceased to turn white coincides with the time that Jesus was crucified. After all, they argue, 40 years prior to the destruction of the Second Temple corresponds to the year 30 C.E,3 which is approximately the time of Jesus’ crucifixion. They conclude, therefore, that the cessation of the whitening of the scarlet ribbon clearly indicates that God was no longer accepting animal sacrifices, and the Jewish people, therefore, needed to turn to Jesus as their only avenue for atonement. Ultimately, this argument asserts that the reason why the scarlet strip of wool did not turn white in the year 30 C.E. was due to the fact that the sins of the Jews were not forgiven because they did not accept Jesus as their messiah.

And 30 C.E. corresponds with the Hebrew year 3790 which happens to be the middle of a week (shmita cycle).

Daniel 9:7 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering.

The Hebrew year begins on Rosh Hashanah so to go to the middle of a week (shmita cycle) count three and a half from the shmita and come to Pesach (Passover) to arrive at the middle.

Now count 3 and a half (Hebrew) years from Rosh Hashanah 3787 and you fall into Pesach 3790, the middle of a week.

Note: In Daniel 9 Gabriel delivers information about two people and their appearance on the scene. The Messiah and the Ruler (anti-Christ), there is no detour to 70 C.E. for the destruction of Herod’s Temple, that is in Daniel 11:31 ‘His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation.

And anyone who assigns what Yeshua accomplished ‘It is finished’ to the work of the Ruler / anti-Christ is far worse than a charlatan as well as being ignorant.

Besides, there’s no seven year time period in the book of Revelation, all three and a half.

King Solomon was a prototype of a great King who had gone bad of which the entirety of 1 Kgs Chps 10&11 detail very nicely:

ACCUMULATE VAST AMT. GOLD/SILVER: GREED
[1 Kgs 10:14] “The gold that Solomon had received each year weighed six hundred and sixty-six gold talents.” (666 and listed first within 1 Kings 10&11)

Look at the above quote, ‘this calls for wisdom’. ‘WISDOM’ is a reference to Solomon(Solomon was renowned for and prayed for wisdom) in [1Kgs Chps 10 &11] who
was a prototype for a king who went bad and whom in [1 Kgs 10:14] taxed his people 666 talents of gold per year. So it would seem that the beast or Anti-Christ
is typically a national or even a larger world stage figure(through conquest) with large armies, vast amt. of gold/silver or greed, and who is against(anti) Christianity
and/or worships false gods. This certainly applies to Nero. Moreover, this figures within the 20th century with Hitler, Stalin , Pol-Pot, and Mao.
Which are all anti-christs leading up to the final anti-christ of the end times. So thus, the general and precise meaning of what John and Revelation are getting at.
What John wrote about in Revelations and 666 is not really about counting up letters in a name, that is rather an insignificant part.

A 'Greek' New Covenant is just one of many lies...

While it is plausible that the Gospel of Mathew may have originally been in Hebrew, its insane to think the entire New Testament was. I am afraid you have been taken in by some quackery. For example:

No doubt Alexander (the great) instituted Greek as the official language of government in the lands he conquered and Latin was the language of the Roman courts and military but the language spoken by Jewish fishermen was Hebrew, hence the sign written in Hebrew, Greek and Latin.

No, the Jewish fisherman in Rome and Jesus would be speaking a variation of Aramaic. Yes Hebrew was not a dead language, but it was a scholarly language among the Jews who in that time and place spoke Aramaic in their day to day lives. Just as Jews today in America pretty much all speak English but those who are scholarly about Judaism know Hebrew. Even the Book of Daniel is written partly in Hebrew and partly in Aramaic. And Saint Paul as a Roman citizen, Pharisee, and well educated scholar certainly knew Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. And as he was primarily spreading the Gospel of Christ to Gentiles, obviously he was not going to do it in Hebrew.

Think for a minute...do you honestly think that Saint Paul was going to write in Hebrew to say the Church in Corinth? That is insane!

In particular the Book of the Revelation of Jesus to Saint John was addressed to the seven churches with lots of Gentiles who likely did not know Hebrew. The obvious language for the time would be Greek, which matches all the evidence from textual criticism of transcripts.

Why 30 C.E. is critical

Daniel 12:9 And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

So, what happened 1290 years from 30 C.E. 'the daily sacrifice is taken away'

1290 + 30 = 1320 C.E.

It is noteworthy to register the contents of a document by the great learned scholar, Abu Madein Shu’eib Ben Al-Mujahed Abu Abdallah Moh’d Ben Al-Sheikh Al-Imam, the Blessing of the Muslims, and the rest of the ancestors, Abu Madein Shu’eib Al-Maghraby Al-Ottomany Al-Maleky, who was buried in Telmesan. This document, written on 29 Ramadan 720 H (2 November 1320 CE) during the life of the grandson, indicated that he had dedicated two places, which he had been running by himself. The first place was the village of Ein Karem and consisted of plains and rough terrain, houses for its people, orchards of pomegranate, olives, figs and oak trees, water wells, and old Roman vineyards. The document showed the borders of the village from the four directions: Al-Malha Al-Kubra south, Ein Qaroun, Qalounia, Harash, Sataf and Zawyet Al-Bukhtyari north, Ein Al-Sheqaq west, and Al-Malha Al-Kubra and Beit Marmeil east. The second place is located in Jerusalem itself known as Qantara Asabat Um Al-Banat at Bab Al-Selsela, including a large building (Ewan), a large house, a yard, a facility and an underground store and a cellar.

Although the document had showed the limits in great detail of the one in Ein Karem, it did not do the same for this one; however, it did show its four limits, especially the eastern side which ends at Al-Buraq. The document added that this legacy will remain through the ages and it has been confirmed throughout its history. The document added that both Ein Karem and the Ewan have been dedicated to the Moors in Jerusalem or those visiting the city regardless of their color, trade, sex, age or status, and nobody could fight the Moors over this Waqf, which they could make use of it in different ways, such as rental, agriculture or sharing, and the priority will be for the newcomers then the indebted and so on. The document stated that the revenue of these estates should be given to the Moors in Mecca and Medina, but if there is nobody to take it, the revenues should be sent to the two Holy Shrines. Concerning the estate attendant, he should be elected by the Moors in the cities themselves after the death of Abu Al-Ghouth, and this attendant has to be an honest and pious Muslim who takes care of the estates and invests them properly.
