Fellow FREEPers, I am NOT trying to be morbid or tactless, but given the recent development with Senator McCain, I want to RESPECTFULLY ask the question.
We recall how, on national TV, Obama told a woman whose mother had a terminal condition that might be treated she would probably get a painkiller:

So, with this fresh sad case in mind, does any enterprising REAL NEWS people to find out how OBAMACARE treats someone with Senator McCain's sickness.
The rest of us would have been told there is no hope- of it being approved by the bureaucrats in DC.
She made it out of her surgery. She is alert and talking.
Now she will recover for two weeks and then it is back into surgery again.
“He makes too much to be list. Not eligible.”
You are mistaken. He is a combat vet and a former POW - both ways to get your ticket to VA care for life. Of course he wouldn’t because he can get better care outside the VA.
Prayers that all goes well
Precisely. Health insurance is not a deal breaker for John McCain. Getting the best neuro oncologist in the world is a phone call away. But with a glioblastoma, it doesn’t really matter.
Unfortunately you’re correct. All the gold in Fort Knox won’t really make a difference for him other than he’s going to be treated better by the nurses and his view out the window from his private room will be nicer.
Well there is the pow part.
I have worked with the VA. Since he flew an aircraft into enemy airspace he would be considered a combat vet. I personally know several VN combat vets and a few POW’s who are honorable men. I would never consider McCain an honorable man.
AMEN to that...
Why is this outrageous? Were there other doctors who said it was a good idea? It sucks for your friend but when you’re 80 you can’t recover from surgery like you used to.
Let me ask you this: as someone who pays into Medicare, do you want it to pay for ineffective treatments just because the patient wants to give it a shot?
