Keep getting notice to review privacy settings in preparation for Windows 10 update. Have postponed so far.

Is this related to the Creators Update?

At least you got warning. My computer is in shop after that update. Locked everything up like I had no permission to go anywhere. Ugh!

Windows 10 Update question... PING!

You can find all the Windows Ping list threads with FR search: just search on keyword "windowspinglist".

LOL! 💻 I kept putting mine off and I guess we reached the end point to where it was "yes" or go no further. Then it went ahead and did the updates.

I got the notice this morn so I did it. I had one thing turned on allowing MSFT to collect data for analytics so I turned that off too.

It’s not a big deal, just asks you to acknowledge or change a few previous privacy settings.

They completely changed privacy settings with Creators Update or maybe stopped you from using privacy settings(LOL) so they can collect your info and “SELL IT”. I removed my Win 10 hard drive and bought a 2 tb hard drive and now I use Linux Mint 18.2 xfce ,the win 10 hard drive is over there in the corner collecting dust

I noticed that the default settings of every privacy option on a new computer I set up recently was the opposite of what I wanted. Every single one.

My future machines will be running Linux as the primary OS, and Windows will be relegated to running in a VM when needed.

It's MY computer! tm

My wife's laptop is on wireless, so I set every network it sees as metered. MS won't update a metered connection.....

I'm still on XP, =;-)
