A Wall Street analyst who spoke to Peter Smith the day before he reportedly committed suicide told the Daily Caller News Foundation there were no indications the Chicago businessman and anti-Clinton political investigator was about to take his life.

This does not seem like a settled story. It made perfect sense to me he might have died of natural causes, but little chance he would have killed himself, Ortel said.

Ortel vigorously dismissed the allegation that Smith took his own life. Ortel, who may have been the last person to speak with Smith prior to his death, told TheDCNF there were no indications the wealthy Chicago businessman was about to commit suicide the next day. It was a friendly chat, Ortel recalled of the phone conversation that occurred May 13. But it certainly wasnt the kind of chat where a person might go out and purchase two helium canisters and put a bag over your head. That made no sense, Ortel said.

Ortel did express doubts about the note Smith allegedly left behind, written in all caps, stating NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER.
Smith reportedly wrote that he was taking his own life because of a RECENT BAD TURN IN HEALTH SINCE JANUARY, 2017 and that his timing was related TO LIFE INSURANCE OF $5 MILLION EXPIRING.
Ortel said that none of the emails he received from Smith were written in all-caps.
I dont remember a single one in all cap letters, he said. To put that in a suicide note as many times as he did and in language thats not really professional doesnt sound like him
He also noted that many life insurance policies usually exclude payment to beneficiaries in the case of suicide.

“Hung upside down in the public square with their pants around their ankles.”
Haven’t we suffered enough??
Funny, Nully, but as soon as I read the article elsewhere, I thought, “This is an article for Nully to post.” And then I got side-tracked. *sigh*
Sorry.
I saw that one, too.
All of a sudden, folks who were connected with DNC and HRC are turning up as apparent suicides. Go figger.
Oh, come on. Next they’ll be saying that Seth Rich didn’t shoot himself in the back.
At 81 years old and in poor health, Peter Smith might have been ready to tell all, but for one thing. We all have family, and Mr. Smith was no exception. He has a wife, three children, and three grandchildren, according to his obit. Someone my have pointed that out to him.
He’s in Vegas glad-handing the Bundy persecutors.
Thanks for the ping/link.
Fitton cannot be deterred or bought. He is the strongest advocate for the rule of law, partisanship be damned.
Yeah.
What a remarkable coinky-dink!
Jeff Sessions is completely MIA. Trump may as well not have an Attorney General.
This is why I keep saying, for the good of the Administration, Sessions needs to resign from the AG position so Trump can appoint someone who can effectively lead Justice and not defer everything to Rosenstein.
AG’s aren’t supposed to provide streaming leaks so you know what is going on in every case. Those that do that are corrupt.
What’s frustrating you and everyone else is that in an investigation the defense is free to lie their arse off to the media, to publicly contradict their sworn testimony, and to bash the prosectors in order to mislead the public - to control the public narrative - while the prosecution does not have that liberty.
All investigating the Clinton Foundation and Haiti.
All about to testify.
All DEAD.
Have you seen this? Looks like you need to update your list.....if you haven't already.
“We needed someone like Rudy in there. We got Henry Gibson.”
Great analogy, but unfortunately, very accurate!
Everyone forgot him. I check every day for updates and nothing. Very upsetting that people can so easily get away with murder.
Good point, it would show up in his search history. If police detectives haven’t looked at his electronics already, I’m sure the life insurance company has requested the police do so.
I’m shocked, shocked I tell you. /sarcasm of course
Curiouser and curiouser
Oh that’s just a triple coincidence of people connected to the same Clinton Foundation and Haiti. There’s nothing to see here.
