This Nation is out to lunch.
Stamos good job on PBS.
When Margaret Cho started telling me what it was to be an American, I tossed my cookies and headed down to the basement.
Wow
Thank God I was away from the set during that, might have had to buy a new one.
The enemy is relentless.
I’ve read about how the Macy’s star came about but having a big red star on their bags .... dunno. Why not blue or yellow (stars are that color also).
And we have a lisping intro to the Anthem.
No faggots signed the Declaration of Independence.
It has always been just a vehicle to promote top 40 acts. Boston Pops on Bloomberg and PBS just wrapped up but repeats.
Top 40 acts are retarded.
NEVER watch that...always watch a Capitol 4th...only issue with tonight’s performance was they showed steny hoyer sitting in the audience 3 or 4 times...
as far as Stamos- he did talk about how his grandfather emigrated from Greece through Ellis Island...his hollywood career is over (or whatever was left of it)...
Boston Pops always used to be on CBS....wonder what happened...
Missed that communist scumbag Hoyer on screen.
Legal immigration from the Right counties, hell yes.
In moderation.
About an hour ago I noticed that Boston Pops would be on one of the few channels I get.
I have not seen it in years but remember Arthur Fiedler sweating and going to town with Sousa Marches. They sounded great.
As soon as Perry Mason went off, I switched the channel to the Pops. I saw some Marines acting really weird. Then several songs, none of which were patriotic.
Checked back in several times and heard no patriotic music at all. Of course they could have played some while I was not watching.
No, but it has been speculated, with some evidence, that Alexander Hamilton was bisexual, at least about one man.
We caught the end of the Capitol 4th and switched over in time to see the Macy’s fireworks which had patriotic music throughout the display. I think they’re replaying the last part right now. Not much point to watching rock singers and the like.
Watched the all night “Silicon Valley” marathon on HBO - helped me appreciate the Greatest Generation all the more.....
Missed the entire broadcast.
Only interested to know if they got a REALLY good deal on HRC fireworks unused on election night.
I watched the Houston Freedom Fest for a while until some lame Puerto Rico group started “performing”. The main event stage was sponsored by Citgo. a state run monopoly of Venezuela commies — go figure
I tuned in to the Macy’s fireworks when you did. The music was terrific and all performed live by the West Point band and glee club.
Then I searched YouTube for the 1976 Arthur Fiedler/Boston Pops concert that my husband and I attended in person. I found the 1812 Overture (live cannons and Boston church bells), and still hope to find Stars and Stripes Forever and fireworks. Half a million people went nuts. Most fun ever! Walter Cronkite broadcast it and replayed highlights of it annually for a number of years..
WTF?
Never thought I'd say this.
Switched to PBS.
“helped me appreciate the Greatest Generation all the more.....”
How? What did The Greatest Generation have to do with it?
(I never watched the show.)
It was a semi-facetious crack - “Silicon Valley” is about a bunch of hapless, weird millenials working in the computer field - in the last episode of the current series they manage to get their insurance-company client’s data-base stowed in the memory banks of smart fridges all over the country - they’re hardly the sharp, dedicated, responsible, courageous types who helped win WWII - the Greatest Generation.....
