Hello. I searched for antifa and gettysburg on FR but found nothing, so I am sorry if this is a rerun. I read on Twitter that Antifa is planning a march at Gettysburg Cemetary on July 1 (saturday). I read they plan to knock over and write grafitti on tombstones. Did anyone else see this?
By that token, going after confederate history and iconography is not going to heal anything, but re-open old wounds.
Do they really want to go there?
Actually from what I read there are. With so many dead, some were buried where they fell. Some Confederates are there but no grave stones.
But you’re right. These new American fascist are idiots.
As a Yank, I grew up hearing the South was for slavery but weren’t they also against an overpowering central Fed???
Is that what is really bugging the left?
I would prefer decent armed citizens do the hard work.
I agree. It took a long time for those wounds to heal. Some countries don’t ever heal, and it hasn’t been that long since the south finally recovered economically. Gettysburg is hallowed ground. They should leave this alone.
"Hey, Antifa. Say hello to my little friend."
Cops just need to Deputize a bunch of bikers and give them arrest powers for anyone wearing a mask or covering their face... the foot race would be called the Great Unmasking and the wailing would be called the Snow Flake Song
Cemetery is misspelled. No A.
My great grandfather joined a confederate militia and fart at Shiloh Church. He was captured and sent to Chase prisoner of war camp in Ohio. His relatives came and paroled him on the condition that he would join the union army which he did. He fought at Winchester and Cedar Creek as a union private.
I did not see this posted before.
If they are seen at Gettysburg, I would not be
surprised if they are seen through Mr. Bushnell’s best.
In the 60s, I met an old Black woman who had been born a slave in 1862. Sweet, old, daily church-going lady.
How fast time passes.
Ef ‘em if they can’t take a joke!
I hope there are 1000 people waiting for them with Baseball bats.

There really is a sense or aura about the Gettysburg Battlefield. It is something I have difficulty describing. One has to be there in person and experience it for themselves.
If anyone harms anything there, the hard hammer of the law needs to drop on them. Law enforcement need to call for reinforcements beforehand if their information tells them this will be more than they can firmly handle.
Word wrap is our friend.
I know exactly what you mean...My wife and I both felt it when we were there...The hair stands on my arms even now thinking about it....
