I respect your zeal. Yeah as long as guys like us are still around who remember what was then America lives. Those 8 LONG years were a killer and a disaster in so many ways though. The cash for clunkers almost did it for me. Pouring sodium silicate into Corvettes? Love your description of the homogenized cars on the road today. Zero character.
“...hose 8 LONG years were a killer and a disaster in so many ways though....”
They WERE indeed.
But there’s an American back in charge. One of us.
Our long National Nightmare is over. We won. And the kenyan POS lost.
We’re still here.
LFOD, brother...
“..omogenized cars on the road today. Zero character....”
Yeah, with some few exceptions, they all pretty much suck.
Gas mileage is good, but they all look like bland bugs.
I want chrome. I want hide away headlights, hood scoops, whip antennas with a squirrel tail, baby Moons or Crager SS, or American Racing rims, 60s on the rear and 70s up front, air shocks, side pipes, and a nasty V8 roar coming from under the hood. Chirping the tires when you catch third... With Foghat’s “Fool For The City” blasting out of Jenson speakers and the top pulled down on a hot summer night.
That’s not too much to ask, I don’t think...
I miss it all.
